A mamba max ESC controller is pretty small, and a Tekin R1,and R1 pro, or maybe the RS series very small footprint..

Thanks to all for the suggestions and information about the ESC. Looks like I will have to work with what I have for now. EVX.

Any how. I Did a few things this week to Max-D. Made lfoors, steering wheel, shifter, side panels, and foot pedals. And the kalakoa (different kinds of colors) 'skittle's' look is getting worked on also. And here are a few Updated pictures.

Enjoy...........

Next update: Should have the electronics in. (Need to figgure a way to hide the large ESC and hide the Rx). De-anodize the blue shock caps and black them out. Shave the tires, and make a fuel cell.

No word on that body wrap as of yet. I may have to man up and paint this body myself. We'll see.

Crap!!! the body wrappers I supposidly found fall into the category of "SUCKS"!

Any how, Here is an up date of what is done as of today.
It was two days befor I left for My trip to Cali. and I was ahead of schedule on my packing. So I did the next best thing. Got the Max-D running so I have something to play with When I get Back from terrorizing Micky Mouse and Miko.

I threw together a short video of its maiden voyage to see if the chassis would make the Cut. You will notice that it did awesome.
I have plans for more "NUTTS" video upon return.

But till then, Enjoy.............

I have had zero luck with them also! The ones that do actually answer an email just kind of leave you hanging on whether they will do it. I like the wrap option myself but finding somebody reliable to do them is impossible.

I love the chassis Wally. Wish I could have done more testing/Bashing befor I left to Cali.
I did land a sky weely on to a CMU block directly on the chassis. A spine tingling sound yet, the only thing failed then was the chrome. Chassis is stil straight.

Hey Walls, I will have to take you up on that second chassis build in the near future. I picked up a few video Ideas and could use another scale tuber. Not sure what chassis yet but it will get put to the test:tmb.

Looking for Hobby shops in San Deigo right now. Any Ideas anybody?

Sorry for the delay subg., I did not make it to that shop. Wish I had more time when i was there.

I am back home now. Got A message from my 'last hope' body wrapper for my Max-D build. And of course, another failure.

So! I got out my collections of brushes and some old masking tape and then hoped for something good enough.

AnyHow, Hope we can get a decent body up on that chassis soon.:tmb

-looking at your still pics in the gravel, I notice the Ackerman of your steering is backwards. The tire to the inside of the turn should be turned in a couple degrees more than the tire on the outside of the turn. It may not seem like a big deal, but w/how motorsports share tech, (and ackerman is a big deal in offroad racing), may want to look into it.
-I'm not sure how to add this to it, Belcranks are one way. Or if you ran the front w/ toe-out, it'd give the effect of ackerman in the turns, but then your stuck w/toe out, (which is used on 4wd buggies, to reduce push in turns), which may not be a bad thing at all, it wouldn't be that much. I don't know if it'd steer sharper w/ it, but it's pointed out. Cool setup BTW:tmb

This is an issue with any "infront of the axle" steering setup thats really unavoidable. The only way I have ever seen it solved is with BTA steering or really ugly bellcrank setups that take up a ton of space. While it does hurt performance its just one of those things you gotta live with on replica trucks since looks trumps function alot of the time.

-huh, I never knew that, (about what you're saying about it being an issue w/ all steering on front setups), thank-you for the heads-up on that. That's what I like about RCMT---always learning something!!!:)
