The "Dog Pound" will be on hold for a little bit.

On top of being a Mutt Fan, Max-D has a place on my fan list too.
I no do know how for build tubers yet, so, I would like to thank none other than Hywntrucker808 for helping me in this area. I Did some shopping for a few builders but wally's professionalism and passion for building had me sold from early on. And I am Glad I did.

Any ways, Hilo has an up coming car show in july, and this is the deadline for the finish of my build. Plans are simple, not too extravagent for this will be a Mod. class racer when I can race it. Plans will include chrome dipping, parma scale engine, custom seat, body wrap, fuel cell for now.

And here is how it stands today

I could Not help it but to do something on my truck tonight.

After watching my favorat series, "LIFE" on Discovery, I got to work on the Engine part.

EH dont fit:laugh. The upper links will not allow me to include the Oli Pan or Lower block half of the Engine

But anyhow, Nothing extravagent, so in comes the dremel and out goes a bunch of plastic. OUCH??? Not really, its a racer.

Couldnt do much more on the engine at the moment so I turned to the Body.
I cut the body becouse I did not like the look of the tapered hood. The real Max-D hood looked more flat and thats what I wanted.

Still waitng on team tweeked to get back to me on a body wrap from a few weeks ago so I can cover up the the cuts I did. Hopefully he can find time for me but if not I will thwart to plan "B". and I wish I knew what "B" was. :-(
Thank you again Wally for working with me on my plans to cut the body. The body fits better than I though. Nice work Bro.

This week, we visit the Chrome Dipper, and also possibly make a custom seat.

I have to agree with you man, the stock body just doesn't look right. I'm glad you cut off the hood to make it look more realistic.

Thank You^^^^

I am planning to use as little velcro as possible to hold down the hood so it will break away on some freestyle runs. Thats after the Up-Coming car show ofcourse.

Hey that is an EXCELLENT looking chassis, hes doing a great job on it for you. I also like what you did with the body, i personally never could stand the way the body looked straight from parma. Way to far off the actual truck.

If you need them i have plenty of very high res Max D shots i've taken over the years if you need photos to help complete the body.

I think I could use those Pics. Close-Ups would be awesome. PM them to me when yo have time. I will take them to my graphics Guy and see what He can do. I have nothing else to do at the moment for my chassis just got accepted by "KromeDome" here in town. It will be ready Friday he says. So Im ptting the hustle the body for now.

Thanks Again Josh....

-what are you going to use for tires, shaved-down Jug tires? It seems like stk. Clod tires, really ground-down & having the edges rounded would do nicely:)

I have been debating that thought in my abdula amblagata.
I Like the Jugg tire look, But I do have a set of CLOD tires set aside ready to shave when I have time. Well see how that goes after a week or two.

Your welcome for the photos. Also, just judging from the tread pattern tom likes to run on his truck i'd go with the Kyosho USA-1's shaved down, i think they'd be perfect.
