Mamba Max???

In the ad for the Mamba Max ESC it does not state that it is brushed/brushless...Is the more than one model or am I missing it...Thanks

What is the steering servo BEC on thew mamba max? 6v?

5v...some servos can't handle 6v...we just wanted to make sure EVERYONE could play. Yes, most servos handle 6v, but again not everyone could run it. If you need 6v disable the BEC by lifting the tab behind the red wire on the servo connector and pulling the wire out. Then use either a 5 cell NiMH rx pack or a UBEC. Be sure to insulate the wire to avoid shorting anything out.

can you explain to me what a UBEC is and possibly send me a link of one that i could use to get 6v of BEC from a mamba max without the use of an rx pack.

A UBEC is a different type of regulator. They can handle higher voltages and, in most cases, higher currents than the linear regulators on nearly all ESCs. We have our own version out now. It's called the Castle BEC. Check out the video on the website...too cool!
