Good spotting, Last I heard, Hooter's chassis still sells them for that price, I wished I was smart enough to buy them from tower when they were still in stock for like 20 bucks a pop. I wished someone would recreate something similar, I know alot of clod guys would purchase them, even crawlers! I'd put one in my scaler before I put a lathe in there.

Are Mag Mayhems 550? why is this a sought after motors for MTs?
Indeedie, and once you have driven a MT with mod 550's, you know. Even mild ones like the Kyosho's (22t) spin up big meat like no other brushed 540.

Now if they only had reverse rotation! Anybody know if the motor is ok to wire backwards so I can run it in my clod? Or is it better to get one specifically made for reverse rotation?

there's a reverse rotation motor - the motors are timed a little bit and since the endbell is locked you can't just reverse the polarity and get the same performance.

Yes I know from the first post, I was talking about the business that had the front rotation only. I'll stick to titans in my clod though, I already have them so theyre free, other than 60 plus shipping for two motors, and than whatever I have to spend on an esc to run them.

Ah, sorry mate, was far too late to be reading posts :bang

In answer to your actual question, yes.

Run a normal motor backwards, when it's timed anything other than zero degrees, it will perform different to running the right way. You might get away with it, or you might experience a lot of current drain and heat... From the "correct" motor trying to drag the other end of the truck faster than than it wants to turn, and from the "wrong" motor drawing more current, because a motor with retarded timing eats up batteries.

Sorry about that.

I run these because they're legal in some stock clod and pede classes (I run my sledge in pede classes when approved)
