Artie asked me to, I felt bad for him since he's from NY and all. :laugh
Wow will looks sick I can't wait to tear things up with that!! I have my gunslinger body waiting to go haha. Ur the man will
well does that mean if i ask pretty please will ...will you make me one too !!! ??????? =)
I really have too many projects of my own to finish sorry.
All the work guessing what you need to make it work is done. Anyone can do it easily now that I figured it out. And here is the list of parts you will need
lay it out, mark the holes drill and bolt up. Can elongate the chassis holes so the motor mount can move for pinion mesh using a chainsaw blade 1/8th dia file
techno long shank 15t pinion http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXZBK3&P=7
Battery box, I like this Jammin one http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXZAJ4&P=Z
HPI Vorza motor mount http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVPROFIL=++&FVSEARCH=103661
A 2200-2800 kv 1/8 motor http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXWVC1&P=7 (kershaw has a nice leopard that rocks)
Artie there is a nice suprise in the box for you too, not telling. :tong
i pretty much figured out conversion from your first usa-1 nitro build ..... my r/c money right now going to finally finish up my knight hauler this year ....
Thats pretty slick. thanks for posting the info. Ive been wanting to convert one of my 2 USA-1 nitros for a while now.
wow that sure is nice! where do you guys find the time to even think these things up.
WOW that's a very nice conversion Will :tmb
While drinking a breakfast beer of course :willy Joking
Thanks, that is the second one. Tom in the Netherlands has the first one I did. I didn't change anything either because the first was spot on right.
In readers rides Artie has more pics, and here are 2 of his videos on 2s (just 7.4volts!!) lipo
cool show looks goood
LOL love the clip! Reminds me of when we shot our r/c movie.. I love that your clip is original and you can hear the guy filming and its not all doctored up-
hey Will nice Nitro Crusher man- never thought that platform would be made brushless.. Im used to a big OS RG mill right there where that can and three wires are.. we used to have to run support beams from teh front to the back to reinforce adn prevent the frame from flexing and altering gear mesh/stripping gears..
Another Brushless Crusher popped into existence 2013 July
Dear William and gangstas. Thank you. I couldn't have done this without your guide.
I'm using Hobbywing XERUN 150 A 1800 kv combo with a 12T pinion and 3s. That gives me a theoretical top speed of 49km/h and from my experience in practise it goes as fast. It is scary. Goes way faster than it ever did with my original GS-21r.
I made a custom radio/ESC tray from transparent acrylic plastic, we just happened to have some. This way I didn't have to cut up the original. I'm using a Losi 8ight battery tray with the ESC tray bit cut off. Also, a Parma Jeep Honcho body. Otherwise I'm using the same parts as William suggested. Awesome.
awesome job, these conversions really are sweet
Those look awesome, probably going to give my A-1 a new lease on life and convert it.
Will, what kv motor were you using on yours and how many cells were you running?
it was just a 2s lipo, 7.4volts and pretty sure the motor was around 2650kv
first 1 I did http://www.rcmt.net/forums/showthread.php?17217
Second one http://www.rcmt.net/forums/showthread.php?19217
so iam going to do this conversion also...digging out grave
