Lone Star State R/C truck pullers held its 5 pull of the winter points series pulling two sessions at the Abrego lake track.
The first class pulled was the 4x4 modified class saw Virgil Hopkins in Yellow Rose of Texas score the win over The Hughey's Runnin Wild Texas Style. The Yellow Rose pulls a best 28.6 feet to score the win in the first session.
In the Two wheel Modified class Thomas Burleson in The phantom took the first session with a pull of 25.2 feet over Scott (Scooter) Lagrange in the 56 Chevrolet Bits and Pieces 2 at 23.1 feet. Bits was hooked hard and most likely would have taken the win over Phantom when the main spur gear gave way in a violent shredding. The Hughey?s Texas Twister followed in third after weight problem caused them to overpower the track.
The Pro Stock tractors saw a very competitive class and The Hughey?s Yella Mule Moline took the class ?s first session with a pull of 29.6 Followed By Thomas Burleson in Big Blue at 28.2 feet Kenneth Jaksik followed with The Red bandit IH 1066 in third and Virgil Hopkins D21 old Betsy in 4th.
The Modified tractors was dominated by Thomas Burleson in the Wildfire three hemi machine with a Full pull and the Outlaw with Virgil Hopkins behind the wheel with 27.5 feet here is how the second session finished
