So what do most people use for making thier own custom length links. 1/4" Aluminum rod or 1/4" Aluminum tubing?

I use 7075 solid aluminum 1/4" rod. Probably overkill but out of all the stuff I have torn up, and believe me I have torn up some stuff, I have never bent a rod.

Thanks, good input! I've seen several people use the aluminum tubing but I've always been leary about it bending easily.

Anyone have any experiences to share regarding the use of tubing for links?

i used tubing for a lot of my builds and it will bend if you really bash it. it also depends on how thick they are. the thicker the hard to bend...

lower links you really should use 049 wall 1/4 tube and 6/32 rod. Thinner tube can bend, fine for upper links and steering though.
