ohh and by the way... today we are going to do some server maintenance!

To me it seems like a new website look- which will be disappointing to say the least if it's related to the countdown.

Or maybe their site was just overwhelmed by the traffic from everyone looking at this exact moment haha.



I reallllllly hope its some sort of new truck. Honestly anything else will be a major disappointment.

I think it was on Scale4X4 that a guy claimed he called Tamiya a week or so ago to order parts and the rep told him that the countdown was related to a new website unveil.

I *really* hope that is not the case. A 30 day countdown for a new website would be a HUGE let down. Come to think of it, most anything they announce after a 30 day countdown is going to be a huge let down.

Its such a self absorbed move to even think about doing that. I mean a nice website is cool and everything, but nobody cares. ESPECIALLY not enough to warrent a countdown. I mean Traxxas has completely redesigned their whole website in the past few months with no fanfare because I think they realize nobody cares..



Lets hope that any information that had to people being led to believe its a new site was just a smoke screen.

Anyone who thinks a website revamp deserves a count down should be fired and have their hear examined.

Am I missing something? Website is back up and I don't see anything related to the countdown. New website sure is pretty though...:rolleyes

I should have known it would be something lame. Why can't they just get a decent stock of txt parts? Or even just the gears?

A new clod should have been there.

I really hate the over use of the word fail but this entire situation is just a big, steaming bag of fail.

30 day countdown to a new website...then the launch of the website gets screwed up by about 5-6 hours. Epic fail Tamiya. Epic. On all levels. Top to bottom.

BTW - Stephen, I don't think anything could have summed it up better than that Christmas Story clip. :D

Where is JAnderson when you need him to make sense of it all? :D
