just burned up my super rooster

Burned up the super rooster in my clod running in the snow today. Running the fireball 19t motors and two 645mg servos I need a good replacement with good bec power for the dual servos. The mamba max pro looks good but it looks like I could get two castle creations sidewinders 4600kv brushless motors and esc for just under $200 shipped. I have no experience with brushless motors but I've started reading up about them and they seem like the way to go over brushed motors. I'm currently using a 7.2 4500mah nimh battery and would like to step up the lipos one day, need a different charger first.

So either mamba max and upgrade to brushless later

maybe a evx2

Castle creations brushless

I'm leaning towards the castle creations brushless and just be done with it

sidewiner combos, you'll be better off in the long run. Then the next jump is lipo, lipo will wake up the BL system a lot over the nimh. So much so you'll ask why you never did it sooner.

I saw them on tower site, that's what got me thinking about brushless. Just need to decide on 4600, 5700, 6900kv

there is a thread on this truck with 4600's and a 3s lipo the thing is scary fast ! i wouldn't go anymore than a the 4600 IMO

that's the video I was watching, I think I might go with the 4600kv. I didn't want to jump to brushless this soon but by the time I buy a good esc its really only a little more to go brushless. The manual says 5V bec but is there enough amps for two 645mg servos?

Did it burn up b/c you got moisture in it, or just from long life?

because of the moisture, I only used it a few times. The bec and reverse still work but when you throttle forward it starts to glitch and make noises.
