Jconcepts Tribute wheels and tire comparison

Jconcepts Tribute wheels come with several nice options. You get three different adapters so you can decide how wide you want your truck to be. The planetary cover has two options as well. One solid and one with a access hole so you can tighten the nut if needed.

A few pics of what you get in the bag.

You get three offset hubs.

You get two covers as well.

The wheel is reinforced for extra strength.

From left to right. Kyosho USA-1 tire on clod wheel, Firestorm on clod wheel, Firestorm on tribute wheel, clod tire on clod wheel, clod tire on tribute wheel, Renegade on tribute wheel, Renegade on clod wheel, Destroyer on brawler wheel and last is a Rumble on brawler wheel.

Firestorm on stock wheel compared to tribute wheel. I recommend trimming the back of the wheel bead off to make it narrower to match the Tribute wheel.

Renegade on stock clod wheel compared to Tribute wheel. I recommend narrowing the clod wheel with these tires also.

Renegade to rumble

Renegade to destroyer

Stock clod tire on Tribute wheel. You need to trim the bead on the clod tire so it fits the Tribute wheel.

Any news on these as far as durability, i need a few extra set of MT tires, but am very concerned about the narrow beads. I dont get why they couldent just use clod size specs on the beads too?

Will they still fit clod wheels at all, I want the firestorms bad, but think the beads might just pull out of my rc4wd beadlocks under power???

The wheels are very strong.

Only time I have seen a brawler fail is when the wheel nut comes loose.

The tires are made to replicate a real tire. They are slightly smaller looking when you look at the wheel opening.

I doubt the tires will fit bead locks. I have had no issues with the narrow bead on the tribute wheels.

You can but you will have to trim the bead of the tire for it to fit in the wheel. The tire is a little loose on the wheel also. You can use a rubber band to help fill the gap for when you glue them on.

Thanks for the info, also do you know if it is possible to narrow tribute wheels?
I have seen it done on brawler but I like tributes better.

I'm trying to decide on what tires to get for my smt10, I like the firestorms but i am afraid they will be too tall.
So I thought about going with narrowed destroyers.

The tribute wheels are narrower than stock clod or brawlers. They are the same width as a txt width. They are almost the same as a narrower stock or brawler wheel.

As far as blue or gold it depends on what you plan on doing. The blue works better on dirt. The gold works better on carpet.

Firestorms are taller but not that much. The renegade tires work the best on the smt10 in my opinion.
