I'm trying to post some pics, thought I was registered for the gallery but it's not letting me sign in. I will have Matt upload them and post when he gets done working on his car.

BIG THANKS to Tamiya and SMC. These two companies came through in a big way for us. We had some awesome door prizes thanks to them and we really appreciate it. We had Lipo batteries from SMC that were given away and Tamiya provided a pair of Clod axles and a pair of TLT-1 axles. Thank you very much.

Mike Sleigh won the Clod axle kits

Dylan Harris won the TLT-1 axle kits

Well, I had a great time and it was great to see all the friends I've made through the years attend this event. We were short some of the "regulars" and you guys were missed. The event went well and we were done at reasonable times so that was an extra bonus.

WMB8 will take place as Digger announced so that is the next event to plan for at RC ALLEY.

From a competitors standpoint, I give great props to Mo. Every event seems to highlight somebody taking a great step forward and anybody that watched Mo run this past weekend knows he ran some awesome races with his SC10, Revo and his Clods. His "Backwards Bob" Clod ran great and to put it simply, that truck ran the perfect race.

Chad, Matt, Mike Delong, Nick and many others.......you guys ran some awesome races in several different classes. It was fun to race against you guys and it was a treat to be able to watch some of the races as a spectator as well.

It was great to be a part of this event and all those before this one. It's great to know there's another on the horizon:tmb Let's go WMB8!!!!!

i'm still trying to figure out how a guy who wasn't entered in any racing ended up with the winning ticket for the biggest door prize . . . . . oh well.

Thanks guys, I definately had a great time as usual. I was hoping for more people but there are alot of problems with money for people right now so I was suprised we had as many as we did. I definately enjoyed the Slash and mini Slash racing, they were fun classes! Hopefully I can hone my skills and change the gearing or shock setup and be a little better next time. Though there was only 2 seconds difference between 3rd, 4th, and 5th in the mains lol (me 5th as always)

Neil did a great job running the races, the only thing we had to wait for was me going from one class to another back to back and the occaisonal missing turn marshal...

Thanks to everyone for putting on the event, Tamiya and SMC and Mike for donating raffle prizes along with John Peoples for the discounted mini E Revo.

Hopefully next time we get more people at the event so we can build a fancier trials course again.

Oh yeah, and Mo definately improved his skills this weekend. Good job Mo!

Glad to see all you guys again and some new faces, thanks again and looking forward to WMB8!!!

If you're talking about Mike Sleigh, he registered and raced in 4wd drags. He was only able to make one run before his servo broke on his truck. If you're talking about Dylan Harris, he registered and ran in trials, 2.2 class I beleive. If you're talking about Jesse Burk, the mini revo wasn't a door prize, it was a raffle that anyone could buy tickets for. Other than those people, I'm confused unless you meant one of them...:conf

I only gave out door prize tickets to registered racers...

the bruiser ran in drags because it placed in concourse and you have to be entered in a competition to be eligible for concourse. made it about half way down the straightaway before failing.
That was Mike Sleigh's truck, so you see, you already knew it had actually raced...

i thought the door prize tickets were only for people who had signed up for lap racing earlier in the day when you were handing out the tickets.. also, mike had planned on not running the truck at all until i had to bring it up that you have to be entered in something to even be able to compete in concourse. when i first asked him (because i was going to vote for his truck) he said "oh naw i'm not running it i just brought it to show some people". i'm sorry but i just thought the way that it all shook out was a bit unfortunate. beautiful truck, no doubt, but i know i'm not the only one that's a little miffed by the situation. also, i know dylan had run his stuff, as he usually does.

Mike came up and tried to register for drags when I was registering for lap racing. Even then he told me he wanted to enter it so it would be legal for concourse...

And why am I hearing about this now, this way for the first time? Why didn't anyone come up and talk to me about it, why did you wait to make it a public mark against the event?

Please, if ANYONE has ANY issues with how things went down, shoot me an email or come talk to me. I definately want to know about any concerns and I would rather learn about it in a less public light!

This is enough discussion about this in the open. Send me a PM or an email and voice your concerns. BTW Matt, you left before you could pick up your Trials trophy. It will be at the track for you.

neil i certainly didn't mean to cast a bad light on the event. all i had to go on is what mike himself told me, which was that he wasn't going to run his truck in anything. now knowing the situation i have no problem with what happened especially since he went up during regular registration.

i won? cool. i thought a couple of the other guys had cleaner runs than i did.

Neil is correct, I looked into it at the event becuase I had similar questions. All was legal per event rules:)

There was concern too about Concourse. I am unsure how future events will be handled as this needs some ironing out too. But, since these events are "monster truck" events set up solely for the purpose of giving a specialzed group a chance to get together to compete, all side events (Drags, Concourse, Long Jump) will only feature trucks considered legal for the event. Just prior to MJ10, we decided to allow 2 new classes (4wd buggy and 2wd stadium truck). These essentially are an exhibition class and were not ever to be allowed to compete in any of the events *EXCEPT* the lap racing. It is in no way fair to those who have actual monster trucks to have to compete against faster more agile vehicles in events that were intended to be for monster trucks.

If there was confusion there, I will take full responsibility for any miscommunication that may have occurred. This will be clearly addressed before the next event so any confusion is removed.

Thanks to everyone for putting on a great event. I'm a terrible driver and my trucks look like garbage, but I had alot of fun. Extra thanks to Mark for getting all the SMC lipo packs and John from AB Charles for providing the VXL Revo. Those were HUGE donations and eventhough I didn't win anything, it's much appreciated. It was nice to meet everyone and I'm looking forward to getting together again in January. Also, thanks William G for the sticker and the $5 registration discount :tmb
