one more question, how many mm's thick is your carbon chassis? Thanks for all your help!
Sorry I don't know that... I'm am not sure if it's on CPE website or not- however if the info is not there I am sure you can call up Brett and he would fill you in on everything- he's very knowledgeable and loves working with customers.

From the beginning I wanted to double down as much as possible with this chassis. Here's a recent upgrade

So yeah... it's pretty cool- alot of different ways to adjust. The turning radius is tight- but I need to make sure the servos are not working against each other!

let me know what you think

I saw on your grey/black bodied truck, you have clod wheels mounted backwards, so as to make the tire location look more scale, without wideners... How did you mount them on the hubs ???

Pretty sure those are CRP nylon wheels, which have those stiffeners on both sides of the wheel center.

brittle and weak... they are very thin as you can see the superglue through them. I would not buy another set. I keep forgetting to change them out- they look terrible with all the missing bits and pieces

Those CRP rims are junk. They are even more fragile than stock clod wheels.

Be ready for some burly steering with the dual servo setup too man. Everything is right now with that much power.

I may be seeing this wrong too, but do you have two of the same side knuckle on the front of that truck? Like two D-1's or two D-2's instead of one of each?

I was wondering if someone was going to catch that!!! Yeah I noticed that this weekend for the first time- I went through all my other trucks just to make sure the other one (hub) wasn't out there. So I have no clue how that slipped in there- seems to me that I must have another one laying around somewhere- just couldn't find it right away. It will be fixed in the long term.

I can't remember if I have said this here before but I need to tweek the steering system- I think the servos are working against each other ever so slightly. They have a problem zeroing themselves... when in motion they turn great and return but slower speeds and/or stop they are very sluggish.

Right now I have one setup through the Aux channel that is mixed on my radio (the other is going to the steering output)- I think I am going to switch to a y-harness so that when I adjust the trim ect I am only needing to do it to one channel not both steering and aux channels.

Once I have fiddled with that- I want to make sure everything is square and tuned right (steering links- rear stabalizer bar ect)- if that doesn't fix it- next comes the external BEC... if that doesn't work then comes two high dollar servos (ouch).

FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY... just shy of two years later. I finally have corrected the cogging issues with these SV2 sidewinder esc with a single 2S lipo. I have heard rumors on how to fix it but I just didn't trust it... until tonight.

I picked up a Spektrum Dx3C radio (for $75)... this is a cheap entry level model that holds 20 models AND is able to mix the throttle channel with the aux channel. My other radio, Spektrum Dx3S didn't do this (so sad).

Tonight I was working on the nightwing to get ready for this weekend. Removed some slop, secured a servo better, replaced a couple of incorrect bearings sizes, and matched up a steering hub. Then finally I put the new radio to the test... I jumped on the computer and downgraded the firmware of the escs to 1.30beta. Then I removed my y-harness for the two escs and plugged one into the throttle channel and the second into aux channel. Rebind the system to the new radio, set up the mixing function on the radio and NO COGGING- Halellujah, AMEN, class dismissed!

I am super excited and feel like I can close this chapter in my life. I can once again support Castle and their new efforts- I just wish they would maybe address this issue properly but beggers can't be choosers.

glad you sorted it
Shame that the old Sidewinder worked no issues, something changed.

Can't wait to see video of this truck.
