Integy Metal Gears

Hey guys, I just bought a set of the Integy metal gears and I see that it uses a direct spool as opposed to the gear diff. would it be possible to use the stock gear diff with the metal gears? if I use the direct spool, how much will it affect handling? the truck will be used for backyard bashing and I am using the castle 4600 sidewinder system (if that matters..)

any info is appreciated and please, no negative comments.

thanks.

Run the spool in the back.Gives the truck a lot of extra grip. minimize pavement time. Maybe get a Ball diff in the front.
You could try running the stock diffs and just keep an eye on the wear patterns( it's not like they are expensive.) But in the stock setup it was the aluminum pinion on the motor that was eaten by the stock composite gears.
Or ball diffs front and rear.

i think the stock gear diff should be okay.
just like segajeep says, minimize time on pavement. It can really wear down your tires prematurely.
