Mike I guess you need to pick up a couple and do the test to let us know just how good or bad they are.
I know I won't be picking up any just for the fact Integy is making them. I purchased eight of their shocks a couple of years ago they had issues. I tried to contact them with no luck, service was the pits so they don't need my money.

I sell all the Integy product line and I have ordered a set to look at. They should be here next week.
I do agree with Al integy can be a pain that's why I am looking at them first before I sell them, But if they look good and you want some I doubt anyone will beat my price :)

Yeah even though they are cast, they have to be stronger than plastic right? Hopefully... The price is definitely right...

One bad thing that I can see is that the motor mount is not adjustable like what's on the JPS and GPM aluminum gearcases. But, that's no big deal since adjustable motor mounts are quite common. Just don't forget to add in a set of those if anyone gets these new Integy gearcases and you want to use anything other than a 13 tooth pinion gear.

Has anybody seen a set of these in person yet? The picture looks like the plated gear boxes that we put out years ago (I think by CCP? or something like that) I keep looking at the pics and I can't see any markings that would prove to me that they are alluminum, so I'm hoping someone has seen a set of these and can clarify this for me

...and if these aren't really alluminum I just found a deal on the GPM cases, those I know are alluminum

Integy Aluminum Rock Crawler Gear Case Integy's new polished aluminum rock crawler gear case is perfect for high powered brushless motors, or just to add weight down low on the axles. Forget about ever breaking another gear case.

Part #c22700
Price $34.99

I saw a set of these gear boxes today and I'm really disappointed, the coloring is horrible, if you look hard at the alluminum you can see a TON of imperfections, and the worst part is they weigh a ton.

I'm glad someone finally made a set of alluminum gear boxes that are reasonable in cost but these are definatly not geared towards a racing crowd, they may be perfect for rock crawling or if you want to spend the time pollishing they could make for a nice shelf queen, but I just don't see these sticking around long.

...now maybe if you had the time and wanted to machine out some of the extra alluminum to lighten it up and maybe slot the motor screw holes then you might have a good alternative gear box for your race truck (that gives me an idea)
