We need to know if the NR/CTPA plans to run at the iHobby show in Rosemont,IL this year. (weekend after the worlds) It looks like the pulling is out this year since Dave will not be there to help run things. If the Monsters want to run we need to know ASAP, and who will be there for sure to drive and help setup and run things.

We have started working on a backup plan for the floor space that has sparked alot of interest already so this needs to be decided within the next week or so.

I really need a co pilot for rooms and diesel to get there ...last year we just ran thru the classes and sort of put a cone out and whoever passed the furthest cone won that round we went round by round we need some people to commit to track crew too...I have grooming equipment.....on Thrus and Friday we can only run electrics on Sat and Sunday we can run Gas and nitro....rooms are $60 bucks apiece (last year)....quite and experience really a great time.....we all hung together and partied together was really great.

FYI they have a lot of traffic light cameras around the Rosemont make sure you stop for each right on read make sure youdon't run any either..got me last year $100 fine

FYI#2 in illinois when you are paying tolls as you go and they say pay toll here ...you have to take that exit to go thru the toll both like a pit stop and get back on toll boths are like 5 miles apart ...unless you have EZpass

FYI#3 we will be given freqeuncy #'s we can use and we need those crystals to demo....they monitor freqencys and will let you know if you screw up and tell you to stop OR spectrum is OK

Rooms would be at:
Baymont Inn & Suites O'Hare
2881 Touhy Ave.
Elk Grove Village, IL 60007
(847)803-9400
$55.00/night and would need to be booked by Oct 1st. for the discount rate.

We would need at least 8 confirmed drivers with multiple pull trucks to put on a worth while show so if you wish to do this again speak up, make calls what ever needs to be done.

I talked to Eric K about the monsters and he's not sure he will make it and haven't hear from any other racers yet.

Alternate plan for the race area is a dirt short course track that a local hobby shop & track along with Horizon would sponser. This would be open to all brands of short course trucks.

I-Hobby

I've offerd my assistance to Darren and Joe to run the pulling action at the I-Hobby Show. The problem will be getting enough electric dirt pullers to run Thursday and Friday as we won't be able to make noise until Saturday and Sunday. This is an excellent show and opportunity to showcase R/C pulling. We'd hate to lose it.

As for help I can do whatever I should be there unless something goes wrong at the shop.

Me and Jason will pull electric dirt.

4-5 Brushless 4wd trucks
4-5 Pro mod 2wd
1 Pro stock tractor

I think Mark D might go will varify

Are we going to try to pull rounds or just exhibition? If just exhibition we can make a ton of passes with the 4wds before they get hot or need charged.

Hey Brad,

You know I'm willing to help set it up, tear it up, and then tear it down on the monster truck side like usual. I had a great time the past couple of years and am looking forward to doing it again.

I was informed that the show promoters are leaning towards having a dirt track in place of the monster trucks this year. They liked what we did in the past but are looking for something new/different this year. This does not mean we can't do it again in the future or that its set in stone yet. If any issues come up getting the dirt offroad track together the monsters are back in.
We also will need to finalize the pulling crew and will need an annoucer, track & booth help etc. or this space will also be given up to another venue.
