If your into zombies

Very old technology vs new technology. New will win every time unless there's mechanical failure. Remember, the M1 can fire *very* accurately while moving at speed. That alone makes it a winner almost every time:tmb

At least this show is at least following the basic rules of zombies. The return of the living dead series was cool but it got a bit crazy with that mechanized hobo zombie that can think. And new does not always beat old. The SR71 is proof of that. Still it would be cool to fire up one of the T28's and see what it can do. The muzzle velocity seems a bit low for its firing range. To fire 12 miles it must have had a pretty decent shell.

Wasn't referring to any or all pieces of military hardware, only the comparison between the M1 and the T28. The SR71 was never mentioned anywhere else in this thread:wnk I can debate this kind of stuff until the cows come home.

I don't want this to hi-jack the thread so I defer back to the main topic.

The SR71 is a comparison so it works with out having a previous mention. As for hi jacking my thread. I say hi jack away but toss in some zombie references and all should be good. Plus I rather debate and discuss with someone than just reading a simple post. If I didn't want to debate I would talk to my pet zombie in the shed. I am curious as to why the zombie solider in the M1A1 was just chilling there. Why was it not out exploring the city like every other zombie?

The Zombie Survival Guide was written by Max Brooks, he is the son of Mel Brooks, from Spaceballs and Blazin Saddles.
I haven't seen that book around. I picked up the Combat Manual at my local Barnes and Noble ( but don't tell my sweetheart Stacey, she's the GM at Books A Million :) )

Back to military equipment, I'm settle for a Cougar 4x4 MRAP, pulling a 400 gallon M149A2 trailer behind it. You can still put machine guns on it and it is just bulletproof but far lighter and more nimble than the other MRAPs. The T28 would be outperformed by the M1 probably every time. I would guess that the T28 may be able to disable it with its ordinance but not destroy it. Assuming of course, the M1 was not fighting back. :willy

To deal with zombies I don't think machine guns would be to useful except in closed in areas. The head count Vs. bullets used would be huge. Now something like a large shot gun would probably perform very well. I don't know if any still exist but a large flail tank would be perfect in urban areas. There are some smaller ones being used today but there flails are to small for my taste.

How far into the show is it. Season/episode wise. What day does it air?? I may have to check it out.

DVR several episodes and then watch them. My wife and I do that for some of the shows we watch. Takes some patience to wait past the first few episodes, but we survived lol

that book sucked.... neat concept and original but wasnt my cup of tea. i just did a book cover for a zombie novel. its more on the funny side then a serious one. should be out in December.

I wonder who will get eaten this weak. I hope the police officer outside of town gets taken down. He seems to not really know what he is doing. Anyone who runs their camp like a ran down and abandoned trailer park should not be in charge.

Probably a bit of both. But why the hand? The door was still shut so the zombies didn't get to him. He could have easily cut the pipe. Its not like he had anywhere to go. And why are they stripping the challenger? A bit of work and it would be the best vehicle in their group. But no!!! They want to have ran down jeeps and a motor home that is falling apart. All the cars in america and they choose the worst ones. At least get a new jeep or something. Even an old Rubicon would be better than their junk. If zombies attacked I bet those people would not last a month. But the good ole boys in proper pickemup trucks would last for ever. And yes I meant to type pickemup trucks.
