if you guys read i recommend a book called world war z![]()
I bought the Zombie Combat Manual by Roger Ma a few months ago... Same author? Its funny that you mentioned World War Z, because I have The Zombie Survival Guide, by the same author. Great book. :tmb
Most all M-series vehicles, including tanks, are combat start. No keys required. As an added bonus, then generally have step by step instructions on how start or operate the equipment. The tank would only get you so far though- Limited range on those. On the plus side, pretty much the only thing that can kill it is another M1A1.Its good to see some zombie fans are still around. I have always had an intrest in the what if effect that zombies create. One thing I hate about the zombie scene is the vehicles that get chosen. Why choose a little car or a jeep. Those don't have the grunt needed to run down zombies and barricades. In the walking dead the guy was in an arbhrams tank and he didn't even check for keys. The battery still worked and I bet they didn't run it out of fuel in a city. Unless a king tiger should up and they were pulling some Kelly's Hero's manuevers. I say stick with the tank and go run that stupid u-haul truck over.
Even if that thing could hit an M1 it wouldn't do anything to it. They fired solid shot back then and that wouldn't have any effect on the M1's armor.Oh really. I bet this could put some M1A1's down.

The T28 used a 105mm gun which is the same size barrel that the original M1 used. The M1A1 and current M1A2 use a 120mm smooth bore cannon which fire ordnance much powerful than any tank in WW2. In Desert Storm M1A1s fired on a disabled M1A1(was sunk in sand) and after multi shots they couldn't penetrate the armor. After repositioning the tanks so they would have a better angle on a weaker pont of the armor they were able to penetrate the armor. But the fire supression system, which goes off within miliseconds of sensing fire, worked so there wasn't major damage. They later recovered the disabled tank, put a new turret on it and sent the damaged turret to Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland for study. It wouldn't take much to make a modern shell for the T28. But it was designed for taking down the biggest and baddest tanks of all time so it should do some considerable damage to a M1A1.
