So i was thinking those sassy chassis lower arms are just square length of tubing machined out, so why not just get some square hobby tubing and cut the arms and insert the plastic ends? What do you guys think?

I would love to have somerthing made that i could bolt in and go but this might be pretty cool too if i cant get 'em made. The aluminum round tube would deflect obstacles better and not "catch" on stuff as easy. And for the cross peice how sweet would it be to "notch" a small peice with a dremel drum and run a long machine through to hold it?

What about holding the plastic peices in though? Small set screws?

The tubing is super cheap at the hardware or hobby stores and in a hard crash the plastic would pop out of where it pushed inthe hollow part saving the bulkheads.

OR ....just grab some tubing like this 1/4 inch stuff on ebay and drill 5 mm holes for the pivots and cut to length...
