It does not look like there is anyone that is interested in doing a pulling demo. I was going to be there the whole show, but now it looks like I will only be staying the TRADE ONLY days on Thursday and Friday - October 19th & 20th and not the TRADE & PUBLIC days on October 21st & 22nd 2006.

I dont think that a demo is out of the question its just that Brad or Darren have not been on the forum but I will say something to them we do have quite a bit of time before the event. Thanks for posting the hotel info.

I contacted Darren G. and he told me that he does not think that there will be enough space to do a Monster truck demo AND a pulling demo. He also told me that if there is enough intrest next year he will bring in a dirt track for the pulls.

Allright then Chris I did not know that he said that. I remember Brad saying that he had thought about it just for a demo. At least know it is known.

We have a block of rooms reserved (first come first serve so reserve asap) for racers coming to the show. The hotel is about 7 or 8 miles from the hall.

Days Inn
1920 Higgans Rd.
Elk Grove Village,IL

(847) 437-1650

single bed: $47.79/ night
double bed $53.03/ night

Mention your with Thunder Tech Racing to get special rate.
Trust me this is a good deal. If you can find an open room near the hall it will be $100+ /night.

its a hotel in Chicago for $50 a night... you don't want to see it!
Just kidding, That part of Chicago has a lot of bussiness and and its a decent area, it should not be too bad. I haven't seen the hotel but I've been in that area a lot for work.
But just in case, I'll just stay with ric rush in his bachler pad! (SPK)

I am at the show and it seems like there is a good crowd here for the first day. If anyone can come, it is a great time just to come and look at the new products.

Sorry for having to post under "guest" I thought I forgot my password, but the caplocks were on, so it didn't work. :(

Today I have seen the following people at the show: Brad P., Eric K., Matt W., Darren G., Hobby Bobby. I am sure there might be more, but I didn't see them.

Yeah, I was right by you when the front wheel fell off the bulldozer... I didn't know RCMT usernames, but I recognized a few trucks and was able to put the truck-to-face...so to speak, lol

2007 iHobby Expo Card

Guess what . . . the NR/CTPA Monster Truck display is on the postcards that went out to all the Hobby Shops telling them about the 2007 Expo. The post card is 6 x 11 and the MT track is taking up 95% of the postcard, there are a few other pics from the expo on the card too. I just thought it was cool that the NR/CTPA has the BIGGEST picture. :rock

We started talking with our contact for the 07 I Hobby Expo. Looks like we can do the same thing, and even bigger & better this year. If we can get enough commitment we would like to bring in a dirt pulling track this time.
Looks like we will not be by the front door this time,(Traxxas bought the space for $5k to build a dirt track) but we can get more space and a larger pit by moving a little farther into the building.
