I went out and hit the beach......its a volleyball court by my house...LOL with some extra sand here and there. I finally built a crawler jeep with tlt axles and junfac chassis. Had the chassis powdercoated black to help in the looks department. I added a gear to each diff to lock it up and theres an integy 35 turn lathe motor. Axial beadlocks on proline moabs with cut foams. It fun so far I need to hit some construction sites and play. Need to gear down a bit more and maybe different shocks other than the tlts....Like Will said they have weak springs. But its fun so far.....

Oh man I so wanna get to the coast, I have my clod and I got word were going to San Francisco next weekend so I finally get to play in the sand for the first time with a rc!
Your ride looks awesome, always thought about doing a TLT just to many other projects.

great job :tmb

only thing I'd change (besides shocks) is I'd move the front center steering link to above the knuckle arm to keep it from ground strikes.

And or...
Junfac makes an awesome skid for about 15 bucks that fits both tlt's and highlift axles.

Thanks for the compliments. I like messing around with this I have admired looking at all the other scale looking trucks and wanted to do something. I want to build one more based on the blazer body that I picked up. I definetly want one of those diaz chassis for it. I got more excited about this project after I started working on the body. I had not painted anything in a while and was getting some practice here.
Here is a link to the next one I want to build http://www.diazdesigns.net/btrail11.html
