What about a nice pine green with silver (chrome) flames, now THAT would stand out

Electro,
And I also think, fill in the antenna hole and make it come up through the bed would look much better.

Thanks madhaw.

I agree, any paint job with flames looks good. Just don't do it the way they did in the other forum (real flames) :rof .

oh oh! how about "realistic (air-brushed) flames" instead of th usual "graphic design type of flames" on hotrods?

something like this..

that is IF i can pull it off. :ack

A fellow rock crawler here just got back from there and said that the phillipines had the hilift out for 6 months or so.

i'm almost done... here are some pics:

however, there was a big surprise during the first part of my build.

can you see whats wrong?

this part was broken right out of the box. :(

i find it odd, it was still attached to the parts tree and the other broken part was nowhere to be found, and the plastic bag was sealed. i only noticed it was broken when i was about to assemble it to the chassis.

i guess theres a new term from tamiya. XB= expertly broken :ack

i have yet to talk to the LHS where i bought it. i hope i can have it replaced.
dang!!! this is intended to be my first shelf queen, i cant afford to have anything broken. :banghead

oh well..

You have nice pics there. Looks promotional pics, :p .

Now that "broken" part is a bummer. Where is it used? I hope you can have it replaced.

thanks dude. i guess the photographer part of me is still here (even though i quit a long time ago). you'll be surprised what a large sheet of white paper, an extra slave flash and an old 2mega pixel camera can do. ;)

the broken part was the plastic one at the end of the rear chassis. i hope they'll replace it. word is, the owner of my LHS is "close" with tamiya.

I'm sure they'd replace it. Why have a unhappy customer?

And geez, the pictures look like they came from Tamiya itself. I'm not posting any of my build pictures within 3 forums of you :rof
