I was outside drivin the Ground Pounder.

Got my new B&H racing monster truck tires..Thank you RC4WD !

Bad news.....

I tested the truck jumping a curb.

1st 3x it handled well.

4th time, I backed up alil further, and hit the gas a bit harder; truck landed awkwardly putting all its weight on right rear tire.

Rear axle housing snapped like a toothpick.

Ordered replacement(s) from RedCat.

Has anyone come up with axle trusses yet ???

Anyone? anyone? CPE, RC4WD ?? Anyone??

Yes I did mount them.
Yes I do have pics, but I am currently having a problem logging into the photo gallery site.
I had Will reset my password, and I still can't get in.
I used chrome Juggernaut wheels, which are identical to bullhead/superclodbuster wheels.

I am also thinking, while I have the axles off the truck, maybe I will wrap both of them in electrical tape to try and brace them a little bit.

I don't think tape would help

A metal brace made from a tube or sheet :tmb
Well I fired off an email to Brett @ CPE, and he said within the next 2 weeks he will have some sort of truss designed and later developed. I might try to come up with something on my own though.

i think in another post someone tried to epoxy around the axles but it ended up breaking again around the epoxy. Im sure brett will make something that will fix it hes addressed other issues and resolved them

Well, RedCat ships the axle case halves in pairs, so I now have a spare axle case, if I should happen to snap another one.

thanks for the pics truck looks awesome with those tires. I put emaxx tires on mine but didnt like the stance or how narrow the tire looked. After seeing your setup i have to copy you my friend. Im waiting on cpe to release the terminator chassis for this truck so i can compete in the indoor racing with the clods. Again nice looking truck its perfect and looks to scale with those tires:tmb

What kinda shocks you running on your truck??????
They are by HPI, they are for the HPI Savage, and they are 6.69" long.
I was thinking that a longer shock would absorb just about any landing or bounce that the truck would experience. I still need to tune them a little better and decide what angle to run them at that works best.
