I broke it :-(

I was bashing around in the front yard today and I broke a steering knuckle. :-(
I drove off the end of our porch (about a 1 ft drop) and broke the steering.

Are these a weak point that needs to be upgraded, or did I just get lucky?

kinda both!
it is kinda of a weak point AND you got lucky.
im a firm believer in having a weak point.
id rather break something inexpensive and easy to replace.
just an fyi: clod, jugg, and txt knuckles all work!

Get some 20 dollar integy aluminum ones or any brand for that matter.
Cheaper in the long run for bashing around.

Thanks a lot for the info guys :tmb

I only have about 2 packs of runtime in my Clod, but I think I'm hooked already. :)

So if I upgrade to the aluminum knuckles, is there a preference?
Will these work with leaving the rest of the axles stock?
What will break next? :)

Thanks,

Jim

The stock axle tubes will break next after you upgrade to aluminum knuckles.

I am probably jinxing myself but since I switched my trucks to aluminum knuckles I have only broken 1 axle tube; I was breaking wheels instead. Yes I am very abusive on my trucks while racing, freestyle and just running them.

One of the benefits of aluminum knucles , other than the bling factor, is that most allow more range of steering.

Thanks for the input guys! :tmb

I think for now that I will replace it with another plastic knuckle and just be more careful. Next time I want to run off the end of the porch I'll use my Slash. LOL
