Looks like it's my turn...

Hopefully it keeps going west and stays far enough away that it's just water and some wind.

Hurricanes suck.

Same prayers for you here buddy. Just scored my generator today. I guess we'll be in the camper during the aftermath. Good Luck.

Looks like it's gonna miss Florida almost completely.
Sucks to be Louisiana and Texas.

I did have my share in 2004, 3 hurricanes between mid August and late September.
Tho they weren't the craziest of storms, they still knocked out power for days/weeks and caused some decent flooding.

Yeah, after '04.. I had enough. 3 hurricanes and 2 direct hits. Tho I wasn't actually in FL for Jeanne, but it was still a mess.

I can't wait to leave FL

We made it through. Mom and Sis are in Texas. I went through Alicia in '83, so I feel for them. At least everyone is safe though.

Hope everyone made it through unscathed. This is why I dont mind living in IL. We get to dodge tornadoes once in awhile but never have the devistation like those huricanes. Scary sh** there guys.

It gets a little hairy at times.

I've lived in New England and survived Nor'Easters, blizzards and flooding.
Florida has hurricanes and flooding.

..now I'm trying to go to Cali where they got earthquakes.
Tho where I'm going, they aren't too bad. I did feel one when I was there in the spring.

Up in the Redwood forests of Humboldt County.
Tho I would like to check out San Fran, it sounds like a pretty cool place.

I pretty much just wanna go everywhere and see what it's like.

I need to win the lottery so I can start the National Hang Out Tour.
Basically just drive around and stop wherever and hang out til I feel like going somewhere else.

Earthquakes are ususally the first thing I hear about why people don't want to live here. But we have them like once every 10 to 20 years. In Florida you will have topical storms and hurricanes every year. In the North you have frozzen winters every year. In the mid-west you have tornados every year.

No thanks, I'll take the 20 year plan. :tmb

I'm a life-long South Bay Area resident and though I'm not an SF kind of person, it is like no other place on the planet that I've been to. It's also *extremely* expensive to live there.

This scares my friends that live in the midwest when I say this, but when you live here as long as I have, you actually get used to the ground moving every once in a while.
