HUGE NEWS! New Pro-line Clod WHEELS! Release Date 2/5/16!!!

Orange Pedeanaut

Hamster Power Racing RC
Got mine in today, FINALLY. Put one together just to test it out.

Couple notes, be careful that you don't overtighten the screws that hold the halves together. If you go just a little too much, the area around the fake nuts starts to flex. No big deal, just pay attention. They fit together nicely and only go together one way, nubs keep everything lined up. The scale planetary cover is screwed on from the outside with tiny, long screws. The wheel has recesses for the cover to go into so that the holes line up perfectly and you don't have to spin the thing while trying to get screws started, very nice. They are great looking wheels and as usual, Pro-Line quality. I have to decide what tires I am going to put on them permanently and what truck now lol. Mine are the version with built in wideners.

It also may be worth noting that these aren't Clod offsetting +17.5mm. They appear to be +17.5mm from 0 offset. I was expecting to have a narrower track width after getting these and removing my CPE adapter/extenders......which are approx 21mm long. But my track track width actually increased about 5mm per side after install.

Never knew Crawford made a set of wideners that were over 3/4 inches wider per side. Most are .5 these wheels will add just a little more width than a normal widener so 17.5 mm is pretty accurate. That is .689 vs .5 that we are use to using.

No, I stand by what I posted but I should have mentioned that I was referring to the CPE Wheely King adapters.....my bad. Maybe they're wider than the other versions.

Wow never knew they made any that wide. These wheels are just a tad wider than the normal widener most run.

Could be to clear the steering knuckles on the OCP60 axles, the vestigal tie rod arms for the XR10 axles are still part of those pieces and would likely need to be cut off to clear a shallower offset 2.6" rim. I noticed in on Barebones' AX10 the other night and didn't think much about it until now.

I'll bet if those were cut off, you could easily fit a Clod offset on there. Don't have mine installed on my WK yet, but I'll have to see how close that is on the WK and Scorpion/SCX10 axles as well as the 4x4 Slash/Pede/Telluride knuckle and caster block assembly, Proline has recently started showing them on that MJ Grave Digger Pede they were using for advertising purposes from a few years back.

Guess I forgot to post, they do fit AX10 Scorpion/SCX10 axles, as well as clear the knuckle assemblies on the front of my Telluride, was goi g to test them on my Ascender, but I can't seem to find where I put the tool to take the Warn Locking Hub wheel nut off.

Nothing special. I panted them with testors silver first then the bead lock testors blue. Went back over all the bolts with silver paint on the bead lock.

Did you use Testors enamel or lacquer paints? I was thinking that the Model Master's 2 stage lacquers might work nicely with these wheels, since they will work on both styrene without attacking it or lexan without chipping and flaking when the body flexes and takes impacts.

Hate to get off topic.........but do you think ProLine is going to put out a solid axle monster truck? Their in the short course and Stampede arena now why not monster turck.
