ok i just got my WR8 rally car :D i ran a battery through it and holy cow its fast !!! im not used to a road car speed lol... on a 2s it tops out at 38 mph per URC review .

which for me is plenty fast ! tires are awesome so much traction it rolled a few times :emot100:

i trimmed the bottom of the front lip to allow for body roll

have my off road tires ready to go :D just waiting on my rims to get here http://www.ebay.com/itm/53881-TAMIYA-DF-03-Large-Dish-Wheels-REAR-62-35-/360487114383?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item53eeb4d68f

cant wait to really run it !! :D:D:D

and to me its very scale , Fiestas are tiny to begin with so def 1/9 or 1/8 scale

went with Buggy 4wd fronts to keep the scale size ;)

video will be super hard by myself lol its so fast ! but ill work on it :cool

thanks Gavyn ! so i messed with the suspension to get it to handle better on road and it literally takes a min to change the shock settings

it comes with the off road setup so suspension travel is full , here is the on road setup and its much stiffer so i think the body roll will be reduced big time

front

rear

so now it rides much better and how it should be for on road

so ill try to get it out in the next few days to run this setup , i did forget Mod1 gears are loud lol...

one more thing the springs are super soft so i may look at some stiffer ones

Looks nice with the road setup...should stay planted to the ground now.

I cant wait to see the dirt setup when the wheels come in

Looks sweet man that's the body I like most too. I'm not super into the ken block body.

I run that same motor in my ruslter on 3s and its ballistic. I run the same motor in my txt too on 2s and it runs like a champ. It don't even get hot just barely above ambient temp. 4000kv seems to be a nice balance of speed and power.

i put 2 packs thru it Sun and man what a blast to drive !

i did add a raised mud guard on both sides to help keep the dirt out and it helped a ton yet still letting air in :D

inside got dusty but id rather have that then rocks and twigs getting caught in the drive train

Great looking car Tom!!!

I've been reading up on these Rally's and I know you did your homework, so how would you compare this to the Kyosho DRX size wise?

Mud guards look good Tom...I know your brain is working on something different for that body too :cool .... We all know how much u like to get the perfect setup for your taste...

I wanna see what it does with the dirt tires lol

Tom yes the Kyosho is bigger BUT so is the WRX compared to a 2 door Fiesta so im my humble opinion its very scale .

and watching all the reviews from URC i felt the Hpi was best sooted for me , from the scale on road and off road tires to the power the car delivers im very happy with the choice :)

i did get my off road wheels so ill fit those tonight :D
