ok ok ok, i know this in some way or another has been talked about before but i did a search and couldn't find anything...

so we all may agree that the scale-ness of the hilux is better then the hi lift but what is a better truck as far as quality and performance goes ?

i can not comment on this as i never had a hilux or any of its brothers but i do have a hi lift that iam finishing up as we speak. the quality has to go to the hi lift i would assume as technology has come a way since the hi lift.i could be wrong.

so what are your thoughts ?

I am a bit confused why you are using "quality" as the comparison. Both kits are high quality. Maybe you meant to say "scale looking". Most people agree the new truck is pretty scale looking, although it is not as scale as the original, especially in the chassis. The new truck does drive much better than the original. I think most people will agree on that as well. No doubt the new truck is cheaper and has parts support. Enjoy.

the high lift out performs the hilux and bruiser 3spd types but when somebody visits and looks at my sheld it's the metal orig 3spd's that catches their eyes.

Performance, new wins hands down, looks and realism the old school

my mod bruiser out performs any stock high lift hands down.

at the moment my hilift too because it's too top heavy.

my mod bruiser can out climb a few tlt scale trucks as well.

and we're not talking serious mdifications

jugg springs with one leaf removed and chinco modded

swamper tires

rear hubs in the front and rear

RC4WD motor adapter and custom tranny brace (not needed if you're bruiser motor is still good, but mine wasnt)

removed the radius arms and front skid (well to be exact, it didnt come with them)

TLT shocks in stock shock mounts

home made clod body mounts (purely for aesthetics)

front direct steering mod with 645mg

home made brush guard (protects my ver 2 cod grill)

jugg shafts (originals were wore out)

I think that's it...

I'm thinking about doing warrior shackles or maybe a 4-linked rear if the need warrants it, but so far... I'm happy
