Hey guys, I got some motor questions.

Hmmm.... I doubt it. I also tried a 17x2 mod in the same car as the Multiplex and silver can and the 17x2 was faster than the Multiplex. The Multiplex doesn't seem to have high RPM on 6 cells but has torque so you can make up for a lot with gearing... But a 17t will be faster on 6 cells.

hmmm... so, if you put the 17t in your wheely clod;
would it still pop em up like the multiplex was?

One of the downfalls are that they are $59.95, the second is that it seems that there is only one available. If the Multiplexes are available, they are a whole lot cheaper. I do realize that the Trinity's are 10-14 turn, but for the difference in price????

The Multiplex 600's I got from Tower where both silver. I also can't get the set screws to grip anything. If I found a noticable difference, I was going to take it to the Worlds and get back in racing, but I still can't drive. LOL.

One thing you'll notice out of the box, is thet there is no flat spot cut for the pinion gear set screw. I had to use my dremel on every Multiuplex motor I bought. It did seem a little strange at first. :reye

true the trinity motors are expensive but for the speed he's asking they would be great. I dont no much about those multiplex motors but i have 10 turn orion revolution motors in my clod and it will burn an e-maxx on 6 cells. I think he should just try the speed gems with 2 packs then he wont have to get the new motors and he wont have clearance issues no matter wat.

Don't forget Traxxas has put a 12T 550 (new Stinger motor) in the revamped Stampede. A couple of those might do the trick and shouldn't cost an arm and a leg.

the multiplex looks to have some WICKED torque!
(based on the wheely clod vid posted by kjr2)
ive never seen a clod do that; and im running dual 14t doubles with 7 cells!
(speed gems onyx... 14t double, right?)

I've actually filed the flat spot on there twice. Someone had suggested threadlocking the set screws in, as they grip the shaft fine, the threads just don't grip. Overall, they're good motors. And, Clods being good for nuthin' but crawling, since when? In the NR/CTPA, we race Clods, E-Maxx's and many others, and the Clods are the fastest trucks at our events. Also can't forget that now other mass produced MT can pull as good as the Clod with so few modifications. You've gotta tell your misinformed friend this.

that wheely clod had no front gearbox internals and was 2wd. it also was tall and had weight in the back. My clod rides wheelies from dead stops on 6 cells with orion 540 motors, it is 4wd and has a racing ripper pro chassis so it is harder to do. stockers are cool doin wheelies, The suspension is so stiff they will ride wheelies forever.
