Hawn,Maybe more to come. Personally,as a guy who turned 50 a few months ago,I'm glad to see some of the old stuff come back around. The 49 Ford I have on my Diablo is one my Dad had years ago, along with a really sweet 56' . This model a friend had owned with a 428 SCJ in it with a 4-speed............WOW. Maybe some more kool scale Gm's and Mopars will come out,and all will be happy.I wonder why the RC companies dance around the mid to late 70s Ford truck bodies? HPI has been the only one to do it and they definitely left room for improvement. I know Proline made the SC version of this body and that's probably why they made this version but I would bet there are more people out there who would rather see a scale '79 F-250 longbed than this, especially since they went out and got the Ford license.
I'm not too far behind you, I turned 43 last month. It's just that considering hobby grade RCs came into popularity in the late 70s/early 80s and monster trucks were born in the late 70s(and it's most notable icon from then, Bigfoot, was a late 70s Ford) I would think that the rc companies would've been all over that style of bodies years ago. I mean the multiple versions of the 70s Chevy trucks have been out for years.......Hawn,Maybe more to come.
