Hello and brushed motor question

First, Hello,

I'm new to solid axle rc vehicles. I have been reading and looking at all the great information here for a while and decided to get a Ground Pounder. It came last week and it seems very nice (although on the 1st run the steering link promptly broke(or I broke it, I guess) and 1 of the upper links is the wrong size))

So, I went on a small buying spree and bought some Ofna Monster tires http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCWE8&P=7 ,and Imex Monster Diamond Jumbo maxx hubs http://www.imexrc.com/servlet/the-192/IMEX-DIAMOND-NYLON-RIMS/Detail . I hope these work together, but thats a different question.

Now I am wondering if:
1) the stock motor will hold up to the larger wheels or if I need something stronger.

2) If this motor is an upgrade HPI GT550 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXPCU6&P=SM

3) If there is much adjustability in the stock motor mount. It looks like it would be hard to change pinnions at all and get a good mesh.

Thanks

Here is what I have found:

The wheels and tires work great together

1) The stock motor seems ok on grass and dirt with the bigger wheels. Not super fast, but hasn't died. I have only run it for 20 minutes or so.
2) Still not sure
3) Boy am I dense. I was looking at the motor mount thinking the motor would move on the mount like a buggy. I see now the whole motor mount slides on the battery tray to adjust it.
