That's awesome! I figured that it wouldn't be long before someone tried to make a Wheely King nitro. It's awesome that HPI did it first, that I'm aware of anyways.

The nitro Wheely King pics have been around for a while now (must be close to a year), I wonder if they finally decided to release it?

What's up with those front tires? They look like plastic tires from a Power Wheels or something

Maybe you won't be needing the front tires once you run this thing :laugh. Just for decor.

It will always wheelie.

bet those aluminuminuminuminum side plates would be nice on an electric :wnk and they'd be pretty cheap $ wise too.

Same links as the WK, so it is no "monster" King, I'm not impressed, but they should have made aluminum plates available for the WK years ago. It is a much better looking paint job on the body, though.

Funky fronts might weigh less, upping the RPM and top speed? With the the layout it don't look like they'll touch the ground once you pull the trigger!

I agree, you can go lipo and brushless for ultimate speed or power.

I'm always up late but I'm usually asleep by 2 or 3am. Tho sometimes I can't get to sleep. Full moons mess me up too. Not really sure why, they just always have. A few days before and after I have a hard time getting to sleep and sometimes I'm up all night. When (if) I do get to sleep, I sleep like a rock.

Run Time

We will find out as this truck will be on store shelves. The nitro version will have superior run time. Not a fan of nitro but the lay down motor set-up seems fresh. Never seen a nitro wheelstander before either. Nitro powered 4 link 4X4 monster truck.

I have two 1/8th scale nitro trucks that I haven't even started up in close to two or three years. When (if?) you get them started and tuned, power and run time aren't an issue. But I went electric to get away from all that putzing around. Plug-n-play is where it's at :tmb. Funny how it used to be that people where always converting electric to nitro. Now it seems it's the other way around (think "brushless and lipos"). It's a cool looking truck and all, but just give me some voltage and I'm happy!

How many hours of staring at a charger, for a few minutes of runtime though? I own 17 R/C vehicles, all of them electric and battery maintenance takes up alot of my R/C time. I bet when nitro makes another leap in technology, and becomes faster than electric again, the market will flood with nitro powered everything. I love electric, but most people want to drive now, not an hour from now.:tong

Charge some lipo packs, within the next few weeks anytime you want to run they're ready to go. I have 5 packs all charged waiting for a sunny day.

So obviusly I'm not watching a charger, just the weather :willy

oh yeah, my neighbors never complain of the noise my electrics make. :laugh
