Yea, thats what I was thinking. It wont dampen near as well as oil shocks. But I didnt figure people were going to be too worried about that on a scaler. It always seemed strange to me to see these awesome builds, but the only thing that didnt look scale were the threaded coil over shocks. :-(
that and why does everyone use clod axles, yeah its easier to not have to worry about a tranny and drive shafts but for scale realism they suck, No offense meant to TMO or anyone else just something ive wondered.

Thanks for checking out my trucks! Sadly the Bigfoot truck has gone to a new home. :-( I just kind of burned out on it I guess and hated to see it just sitting on the shelf, didn't seem right.

Good news is the Digger truck is getting a lot of my attention now and has had some additions made. I am working on a new shock setup. Once that is complete I'll get some update pics posted on here.

I don't think the wheels do that truck justice. I don't know what it is about them, perhaps the largely painted rivets, but the rest of that truck is on a whole new level above those wheels.

Those rivets are not paint. They are small screws.

Pictures fixed.....

Well i finally broke down and just got a photobucket account so I could put pics up again. It really bums me out when I go looking for some of the killer stuff that guys used to have on here and all the photo links are gone....:mad so I spent a little time and fixed the pictures on this thread.

I have done quite a bit of work on this truck in the "missing months" and will try and get some new stuff up soon.. At least for now this thread no longer has the dreaded little red x's......

Teaser Pic

Going to try and get the cockpit back into the truck today and if so will post some current pics.

Until then here is a small offering to the picture crowd. We all know part of what makes Dennis and Digger so cool to watch is the throttle rhythm that he maintains. Got to have a reliable Hot Foot pedal to pull that off........

glad you got the Photobucket account Wade it is easy .... awesome to see the pics again and look forward to see the rest of the build :cool

So, ya can't have a go pedal and no stop pedal....that'd just be nuts!! So here is the brake assembly ready to go in:

Here is a weekend's worth of work using tiny little tools to do tiny little things my big ham fisted sef was never meant to do!

Tonight I am going to order some absurdley priced micro harware to get the pedals bolted to the floor. Once that is done I think I can get the coskpit back in in the truck and run the brake plumbing and throttle cable. Then I can get a full round of update pics posted! As always thanks to those who check out the trucks.

Love the tires! looks like they have been used for a couple of seasons and crushed many cars!

Absolutely awesome build. Looking forward to the update pics. Man, the ghost image on that first Digger body is downright scary! (lol)

That truck is super sweet! As long as you have the cockpit apart why is there no 5th belt on the seat? The anti submarine belt that runs between your legs? I can't imagine they don't require them in the real life trucks. Very cool build and awesome attention to detail.
