Figured Thanksgiving was a good day to post up one of the latest projects I am working on. This one will round out my personal stable of "Legends" being Bigfoot, Max D and now Dennis's current Digger truck. This one also is fairly special in that it was a surprise retirement from the Army present that my beautiful bride and John Boyer managed to spring on me, much thanks to each of them! As such it will probably be a slow work because I plan to try and detail this one out to a new level for me, we'll see how it goes.....I may like how it runs so much that I just run the wheels off it instead!
:burn
John really outdid himself on this frame though. The detail is amazing and with all the tube work that is there it is all spooky square and true! I am very grateful to him for what he did with this truck.
A little about the truck so far. It is currently a roller minus the electronics. I have the hidden floor for the esc's and receiver finished and in the truck and might actually look at initially mounting all that this weekend. I have a pair of Castle 5700 Sidewinders sitting on the bench for this truck. I like to work on thing as the mood strikes so I actually have a couple of bodies that are mostly complete. One is the "Ghost" version and the other is more of the standard body you see on this truck. I have the seat built and in the truck and it came out much nicer than the one in my Bigfoot truck. Rear axle is locked out running a ball diff. Mhesse did up the killer swaybars for me awhile back. The bodies are a combination of paint and vinyls.
First pic is of course to show the awesome frame John did;
And here are some of the various bodies I have done up for it;
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to the RCMT crew and all your families!!!
