Thanks Guys!! I backed the truck with white this morning and peeled back the protective film. Man the colors look great together!! I will post more pics tonight after I get the decals on it :D

Thanks! I never thought this truck would be so far along by now... I had originally hoped to get it finished in time for the No Limit World Finals on Memorial weekend. It looks like I'll have time now to start racing it and get it dialed in before then. My new goal is to have a 2nd truck built in time for the Worlds so my son can compete in the Pro Mod class too... Time will tell if I make that deadline... lol

Loosk great the black wheels set it off
Thanks Bud!! I'm sure there are a few guys out there shaking there heads wondering why it's sittin on 3.8 Desperado wheels and 3.8 Mashers but I think it looks great and I'm the only one that matters... lol. The group I race with tweaked their tire rule for the solid axle Pro Mod class this year along with tweaking the motor rule to allow a wider range of trucks to run in this class. I think the rule changes were a great idea and think it will result in a bigger Pro Mod class running in the World Finals this year. Heck under the new rules someone could race a brushless or brushed Wraith as long as it has a set of tires with a minimum size of 5" tall x 3" wide

Hey man sweet truck! I love the body, you did a nice job on that with limited resources. I also like the look of those 3.8's with mashers! Nothing looks better than a puller but that's another discussion... haha

May I offer some advice?

While the long wheelbase is going to be stable at speed which is good for the dungeon racing, if you happen to get out of shape the truck will be much harder to correct due to it's length. Basically it's going to react much slower and depending on how agressive your steering setup is it will push through the turns. I'd advise running a shorter wheelbase to really have the best race setup, the longest I've ever seen really run well was around 14in, and even that is a little much without 4ws.

Thanks! I appreciate the advice. I built the truck with the long wheelbase with the thought that it would fly better off the jumps and handle better at higher speeds. I also set it up so that it could be easily shortened if the length limited me and wasn't the best setup for my driving style. I have had a few guys tell me that the length isn't an ideal race setup. This is my first solid axle race truck so it is a learning curve for me but I am the type of guy who likes to try my own thing. I really do appreciate your advice, especially the fact that you explained your reasoning and didn't just say "Hey bro your trucks too long and won't work" lol

Haha I fully respect someone who wants to try their own thing. That was, and is the same approach I take into things. My dad is planning to race at the dungeon this year I might come down to chill. Might even race a truck to get the pro-mod title back in the Buckland house and away from that golf cart sized clod that won last year.

Its actually a Cars Ridemakerz "add-on" part from Toys-R-Us. They were on sale and I only paid $11 for 2 motors and 2 sets of pipes! I have heard that they are very similar to the CPE motors if not the same ones :)
