Cool - thanks for the update!

Hehe, so much for the mint condition! :lol Ah well...that's what the thing was made for. :)

I know that it wasn't originally designed with racing in mind, but have you tried any high speed aerial maneuvers with the Spider? It would be interesting to hear how well it does with that type of driving.

It's also great to see the RCMT decal being put to good use! :truck

Part 2 was definitely worth the wait! :kudo And although slightly abusive, your crawlin spot is awesome!

loco - Yep that's what it was made for and why I got it! The only way to keep a crawler mint is to not use it! I have not tried any high speed or jumps with it. I have 10t pinions in it so even at full speed it's not fast enough to get air... The gearboxes are smooth and free so I think they would do good for fast bashers. Plus the steering is super strong with no flex. The only thing is that the wheelbase on the Spider is 16.25" so it's way long for a basher or racer. If you put these axles under a differet chassis or used shorter links, you'd be in business. It would be smart of Gmade to sell the axles seperate. They are going to sell them with the Dragoon chassis which looks like a basher chassis to me (but not really a race chassis). The adjustable motor mounts will sure come in handy for racers/bashers as well as crawlers...

jagg - Yeah I like that spot. It's challenging terrain and abusive like you said but it's fun. I'll be going again on Friday :p

Nice vids! I really like the posing pictures as well.

I just received my motors and body today. Now I need to find time to build this beast! It's tuff finding time, working 40+ hrs a week, going to school, selling a house, building a house, trying to find time to pick up one of my guitars....I need more hours in a day! :ack

The blue is nice, but the green Chevy looked alot sweeter. :p . You gonna keep the stock cans in yours for now?

kjr2, is your lower 4 links mounted backwards? I was looking at my instructions and how I mounted mine and they are different than yours. Just wondering.

ssfoshee - You were right! I had my lower links opposite of how the manual shows! This way increased clearance and lowered the chassis...

All my videos/pics were taken the other way. I wonder if I'll notice it crawls better now...

Also, where are you pics man? I'd like to see them...

Let us know if you think it crawls better that way. I still have to choose my electronics and body so it may be a little while. This has to be one of the best manufactured kits I have ever put together. I am impressed so far.

My thoughts exactly. It's nicer than even Tamiya kits! All the parts come in perfect condition (no trimming etc. needed) and it's just plain nicer stuff than any other kit I've build (and I've build a lot!)
