Times have gotten so busy with work and home r/c has been shelved financially and timewise for things around the home front . I have made many great friends on here and will stay in touch with them :) this is a great group of guys here and the knowledge is unsurpassed !

I will pop in time to time, but as far as builds go those will be nun for quite some time :( I will do this ROM but after that I will help who ever helps out get setup to run it . Ive been trying to find a way to make it simple and I feel the last 5 or 6 have been that :)

I will be selling most of the gear I have in the B/S/T but am keeping my Boyer to tinker with here and there when I can ;)

Thanks again guys for the support over the years I do appreciate it more than you know :)

let me know if anyone will help out with rom after this month and ill help you thru the setup of it :)

I think we need to vote that Tom cannot leave :)

I do hope you stay a visitor and don't become a stranger Tom. I'm guessing no more frantic phone calls about some obscure part anymore then? :cool

We all have to take a break every now and then. Just don't sell anything you might regret ;) Thanks for everything you do on the board Tom, we do appreciate it!

I hear ya on needing a break. I take mine in shorter but more frequent amounts. I don't post much anymore. I still race the few races that I can but my involvement in rc's is more in making things for people than anything else. Take some time, recharge and you'll know when it's time to come back.

Bummed out about this but I understand Tom. RC is faithful though...it's always here waiting for you when you want to come back. I've taken many breaks over the years and like was mentioned earlier just don't sell anything you'll regret.

I appreciate all the time and effort you put into your builds and also the board. One day life will slow down a bit and you'll hopefully come back. I'm still waiting for my life to slow down so I can't tell you when that will be. LOL!

Totally understand, dude.

I'm always contemplating pulling back. It's tough to balance wife, kids, baby, career, financials, etc.

There are weekends that I just can't get into the shop. Dad duties dominate and all extracurricular activities go on the back burner.

Bummer to hear but totally understandable.

I always kept a close watch on your builds and your help and suggestions will be missed too.

I been out of the loop myself for a few months but will be back here soon with a tube framed monster this time around.

Sorry to hear this, Tom.
I've been in a bit if a lull for the past year or so, too.
(Toddlers are a full time job!)
Hope to see some more builds from you in the future.
Call any time, too, brother!

Boy do I fully understand this choice! 5 years ago, I had to get help from an RCMT'er just to take my family to the local Monster Jam show. Wife, two kids in sports, and I lost a job, etc. Now, things are going in the opposite direction and I'm at a point where I'm on the other side, coming back to RC (father's day saw the family present me a Yeti XL!). My wife, actually never let me sell any of my cars or trucks during my time away. Anyhow, as a primary lurker here on RCMT, I will say I have enjoyed and learned a lot from your builds and posts! I hope your time away isn't long, but as everyone else has said, we'll always welcome your input and look forward to your next build when you return to full time!

Thanks,
Tony "Ceasar"

Tom we are all going to miss you, and I would personally like to thank you for all the help and inspiration on my builds. Hope your time away isn't too long because I'm going to miss all your detailed builds!!

Going to miss you Tom but I totally understand. For the past couple of years RCs have taken a backseat to a lot of other things in my life. I sold a good portion of my fleet off and most of the rest will go too. But I do have a whole bunch of new projects in the works, just not as much time and money as before to work on them. I've never had any major regrets selling off trucks because if I built it once I can build it again if I really wanted too, and probably build it much better the second time.

Take care of yourself and the family.:)

Sorry to hear that Tom. You and your awesome builds will be missed. I also took a break from the hobby, never sold anything. Thank you for all the help and advice for builds.
