@DarkSammy
Thanks for following along. Just trying to somehow keep track and share my experiences while hobbying. :) Glad you enjoy the builds.

Bought some 120mm shocks. They were expensive. They look nice though.

Been running HPI Wheely King units and they leak. They are also plastic. They also look toy-like and cheap.

Thought maybe they would bolt right up but no... threaded adjuster needs room to rotate. *doh

Shocks also rub on the sway bar links.

Always be customizing and the shocks are gonna need some work too.

Here you can see how big the adjusters are on these shocks. You will need some room for these to work properly.

The sliding seat for the dual springs must also be accounted for. It was hitting the chassis as well.

So the shocks only contain a couple of drops of oil.

The first mod will be to put some actual dampening fluid in them. 35 Wt was used on all 4 corners.

The next mod was to add a bump stop. A couple of Red, 3mm o-rings were used on each of the shock shafts.

Lots of pictures and info left to share. Stay tuned...

Shocks look good Jay!

I know they're not 120mm long, because RC4WD measure the entire length. So whats the actual length from eye to eye if you don't mine?

Hello. Thanks Tom. That is an interesting question. Unfortunately, I totally failed to measure them before I went a took them apart and started tuning on them.

They are bolted on the truck now so it is kinda hard to get a accurate measurement.
When I held my tape up to the truck I get around a 118mm from eye-to-eye. Hope this helps.

RC4WD now makes different spring rates for the 120mmm King Coilovers.

RC4WD's springs are nice but still not heavy enough. I went custom with the tuning of course....

OFNA - # #87368 Hyper 7 front springs X4 for the upper spring.

Team Losi - #5160 (4.1 lb tension) X4 for the lower spring.

Managed to pick up another pair of these.

Thanks for looking. - Arco

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work
And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk
And laying his finger aside of his nose
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle

GPM - Alloy Centre Gearbox Assembly (#TXT038)

Shoehorned this into it's new home.

STOCK JUGGERNAUT 2 SPEC TRANSMISSION

5mm OUTPUT SHAFTS & 5x11mm bearings
... everything else is the same as the TXT-1.

Alloy gearbox. Juggernaut 2 output shaft. TXT-2 gear set. Ceramic 11x5mm & 5x8mm bearings on the top two layshafts.
Rubber sealed stainless steel 11x5 bearings on the final two shafts. Alloy adjustable motor mounts. Hardened steel - 22 tooth pinions.

*note
The weak spot on the Jugg 2 trans is the 5 mmm output shaft. They break where the c-clip attaches and they can strip
the aluminum hub and splines. TXT-1 has a 6mm output shaft, 6mm brass drive hub and special 6x11 bearings. The TXT-2
bearing holder on the "27T Gear (long)" seems to have a tighter fit than the original.
