Decided to use the rear steering rods from the Jugg on the front of the Jugg 2, so the I picked-up a couple of rear steering lock out's (part#1353) from Xtreme Racing.
http://www.xtremercracing.com/Products_by_Brand.cfm?pn=1353&pID=571

First thing was to remove the entire rear axle from the Jugg and photograph how it all bolted together.

The axle case needs to be opend-up for modification. The lock out goes on top of the axle below the spring perch blocks.

Because I am only installing the rear lock out from Xtreme, the spring perch blocks needed to be modified to keep the front and rear ride heights equal. Using the part as a guide, I scribed a line onto the blocks, then cut them down to the proper height. After trimming them using a dremel equiped with a cut-off wheel, they were sanded flat using some 180 grit sandpaper that was laid flat on my work bench.

Continued in the next post. - Arco

Placed the lock out between the axle case and the modified spring perch blocks, then bolted it all together using some new 10mmm self tapping screws.

Rear axle re-assembled.

The linkages that tie the rear steering hubs to the lock out plate need to be assembled.

A small amount of Blue locktite was applied to the threaded inserts before they were threaded into the alloy links.

Completed rear axle assembly.

Thank you for taking a look. - Arco

Thanks. They are slowly coming along. Went to the LHS yesterday and bought a new servo along with a couple cans of TS-8 for the JUGG 2. Finally have all of the parts to complete the second Jugg. It's only a matter of time now...

Assembling Item #93020

Replaced all the metal bushings with a full set of sealed ball bearings. Also replaced the stock bevel gear cover with a cover from a TXT-1. Applied the supplied ceramic grease to all the gears as well.

The diiferential gears and housing are also borrowed from a TXT-1. A small amount of Blue locktite was applied to the cap screws that hold the differential together.

Drive shafts A & B are borrowed from a Clod Buster. The Clod shafts are identical to those used on the Juggernaut, Juggernaut 2, Mammoth Dump Truck, TXT-1 & TXT-2 Agrios.

Modified the stock servo saver mounts and installed them so the stock hardware fits flush with the bottom of the axle.

A couple pairs of TXT-1 suspension mounts were modified then bolted onto the Jugg 2 axles.

Cool and I did something similar to my juggernaut 2, with the Txt-1 suspension mounts. I just trimmed them more and i used Mike Hesse Txt-1 axle mounts on the bottom of the axle. If I can find a pic ill post it.

Installed the New Era alloy bumper brackets and steering conversion kit to the stock Jugg 2 bumper plate.

Removed the steering stops from the front pair of steering hubs to increase the steering throw.

Modified a set of stock Clod Buster hubs so stock TXT-1 wheels could be mounted on the Jugg 2.

Still a few mods to go. Stay tuned... - Arco

Swapped-out the TLT-1 axles and installed item#93020. Also swapped the lower links to the 13 inch WB units from ESP.

My bad. I am currently building two more Juggernauts and I have several sets of those laying around. Pictured below is a used set that I am not going to use. PM me your address and I will see about shipping them to you.

Installtion of part#1353 from Xtreme Racing on the Tamiya Juggernaut 2. Using the part as a guide, I marked the portion of the bracket that needs to be removed.

Then using a dremel and a cut-off wheel, I carefully sawed a notch in both of the TXT-1 suspension brackets for the rear axle.

The modified TXT-1 brackets mount to the axle backwards to provide some extra strength to the lower 4-link mounting point where it is weakest.

Blue locktite was applied to the threaded inserts before installing them into the alloy links. The plastic rod ends were then threaded onto the linkages.

Completed the rear-steer lockout installation with the supplied hardware from Xtreme Racing.

Thanks for taking a lookie-loo.

New Era alloy bumper brackets & steering conversion are installed on the Jugg 2.

Xtreme Racing carbon fiber rear steering lockout installed on the Jugg 2 now as well.

The lower 4-link rods on the Jugg 2 were shortened 5mm to correct the caster angle on the steering hubs.

Installed a TXT-1 servo saver on both of the Juggernauts.

Had to trim the bolt holding the steering rods to the passenger side front hub due to the increase in servo throw.

After deleting the leaf spring mounts I had to fabricate some plastic spacers to square everything up again.

Installed a clevis to the metal tab on the rear of the chassis on both of the trucks. They are Borrowed from my wife's FJ.
She was not very happy about that.

Headlights and Lenses.

New rollbar from CPE.

Old roll bar that the mailman broke when he made it fit into my mailbox.

Still have to install the remaining LED kit and wire harness for the roll bar lights that goes along with the incandescent headlight bulbs.

New electronics. Also have an ESC, receiver, steel pinions and motors for the Jugg 2 on stand-by.

More drivetrain goodies to update soon too. - Arco

What length shock are you running on that Jugg Jay?
@th67ss
Those are 1/8th scale "Super Shocks" (part #32230) from OFNA which feature 3.5mm titanium shafts. The shock caps installed on them are 1/18th scale "Piggyback Reservoirs" (part #PBR-2002S) from Progressive Suspension. The springs are (Part #18032) from the rear shocks of the OFNA Monster Pirate/Dominator.

Just measured the OFNA shocks in question and they are 4.75 inches when fully extended.
