Very cool little beasty :tmb I have poulson axles in my crawler that run those gears. Slipper is a must.
For that rig I would go with other axles as already mentioned. Any idea how much it weighs with battery? I've always wanted to build an ultra light hill climber.

Axials are go...

Thanks for all the comments,

I can't remember exactly what Project YellowCake weighed but it was under 4 lbs ready to run. I know it has been a while but here is an update.

Sadly I have put YellowCake on the back burner and robbed some parts from it to create my latest Axial axle based project. There was a sneak peek of it on the first page and here it is completed. It is just a hair over 4 lbs ready to run and has a k2-3s chassis.

The Axial axles defiantly handle the brushless power that the PTI could not and now I'm pleased to have too much power :D See vid of its first run below:

And of course there was carnage:
Trying to have an impromptu drag race using a 4wd truck with no diffs at all + wearing paddle tires that had the traction of an ant on the parking lot = Ouch (see end of vid) :bang

and Finally a group pic of some of our trucks.
