First Clod!

Finally got my first clod. Now the questions begin. The truck came with maximizer beadlocks and Losi rock claw tires. I like the look of the truck but I want to put a set of Imex swamp dogs on. The truck came with adaptors for the beadlocks but now I can't put the stock wheels on. It doesn't have the plastic piece that holds the wheel on. I know I need wideners b/c the tires know hit the lower 4 link bars. Question is can I install widener without having that plastic piece? I have a the imex tires mounted on a set of stock chrome wheels. For the power department it has a pair of 55t motors now,but there going to be replace with a pair of 12 singles. Truck came with a Futaba 3Pm radio and a novak super duty. I trashed the servo's in it and replaced them with some CPE 200 oz. ones. (Brett those servo's are AWESOME!!!) I also need to find some shorter body mounts, it has the really long JPS ones. It came with a jeep body but I'm either gonna put a F-250 or 2500 HD body on it. Guys open to comments, suggestions!!!

As far as wideners, if you plan on going back to the stock wheels, these will work without you needing the plastic drive hubs:

How does the tire stay on? Do I have to screw those onto the stock wheels?

Just make sure they give you the X-0025 barrel nuts. The ones they have sent me have the wrong ones then I need to email them to get the right ones.

Went bashing yesterday, truck performed great. Went to clean it up this morning and realized I lost one of my sway bars and the little brass spacer piece. Anybody got a clue where to get one from? Tried calling JPS and emailing with no response.

Just use some piano wire from your local hobbyshop for the swaybar. I'm sure you can find some nylon spacers to replace that brass spacer at a hardware store.

Where else can you get piano wire? I've never heard of it and my hobby shops here, well they suck.

Went to a single battery set-up, geared the snot out of my 12 singles, trying different tires now. I hate the ones I have so I'm thinking about getting pullers or baja's :bang

Sold the shocks, hate the jeep body I have on it. I can't make up my mind what I want to do with it just yet.:bang:bang
