First Clod project in years...

It's been years since I worked on a Clod and it's awesome to catch up with all the great projects everyone has done. It's awesome to see the Clodbuster as popular as ever after all these years. Here's my current Clod project - a ZRP Diablo with dual 7.5T brushless motors.

Haven't decided on the shell yet.

Already working on the next clod!

BloodClod, what it do?!! Welcome home!! I was on the System BlodClod page Sunday stealing ideas.. er.. I mean admiring your work. I'm not surprised you picked a ZRP. Your trucks are always nice.

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome - it's really nice to see so many familiar "names" still on the boards!

I put a high capacity high discharge pack into the truck today and took it for a spin... all I can say is I'll be picking up a second pair of brushless systems this week for second clod I'm working on now!!!

I have driven a Clod with that much power and it's some serious fun right there! Once the weather here clears up I'm hitting the local buggy track with my Clod!

Took the truck out on the track today and it received a lot of attention.

Only managed to run half a pack though but things went generally well. Speed was awesome, electronics worked without a hitch!

It was apparent my shock setup was too soft though and the truck would sit back hard on acceleration and lurch forward on braking. I've changed the shock mounting position so they are more upright and will try again once the weather gives me another window. I will also pick up some harder springs to try.

Anyone have tips on tuning a solid axle suspension? I've some knowledge about working on buggies but independent suspension is a whole other world. :)

Is there anyway to tune antisquat?

Snapped a pic of my truck with a basher shell I found from storage...

Here's the shell as it originally sat on my budget crawler "HOOF"...

Awesome fun clods!

Just finished painting up a new lid for the Clod.

Shell is a Ford from HPI and the design sports metallic red and blue with chrome accents. I think it turned out pretty well - hope you like the pics.
