My dad passed away from cancer 11 years ago. I also have a clod pounder build going on right now. Just need electronics to get it going. I did the Easy Off oven cleaner trick to my side plates and scuffed them and the paint still won't stick. I have an idea for some new plates. I will keep you guys posted if I can get it to work.

Both trucks look AMAZING the full scale and the rc version . Your dad would be proud and I'm sure he's looking down now with a giant grin on his face :)

Sokey70, how fast does it go with them motors? I'm looking at putting brushless in either of my clods. I looked up the Tacon motor and they are a good price but can they take the abuse of a basher/racer? Thanks.

It's pretty quick (probably about 25-30) and can pull wheelies at about 1/4 throttle too. I bash mine and it's perfect with the 3500s. I also have a ground pounder with a ezrun motor and I like the Tacons better, they seem to have a wider powerband and more pop. Maybe get a higher kv if you're racing.

Can they take the abuse of a Basher / Racer ?? They sure as heck can!!! haha The Troops Truck has ran Tacon motors from day one, I just recently hooked up the 4300 KV's in it since my son was moving up to Pro Mod with it. He has Raced / Bashed / Freestyled / Crashed / Abused ...........I could go on and on and on......those motors never gave up and I still have the old 3000's. Just need to pick up a couple ESC's for another truck now. I got the 4300's for $22.00 each. I will have to do a speed run and film it to see the top speed for ya. I will try to do that today.

Alright, sounds like a good deal. I'm looking at just under 100 for the 3900KV's and EZ-Run 25a ESC's. Just wanting a little bit more info before I pull the trigger on these.

Beautiful build and a incredible tribute.Sometimes the simplest paint schemes are the most eye catching and it matches the real thing perfectly.Hope to see some more of your builds and I hope to build my own someday.:)
