Awesome! I was just looking at my hilift the other day to lower it and run the leaf springs under the axles...I never would thought to do an onroad truck with wheely king axles...

Great layout on it...

Axles maybe but the rest is not there.

They seem to be stock inners too so they are probably toast or soon to be the cups will just melt lol

Cool to see something different done with the axles though

That's pretty cool. I never thought to make a solid axle street car. For $110 shipped I bet it's sells pretty fast.

Anyone know where a build thread for this is? I searched, but results came up inconclusive...there was a link on rctech, but only led to the hpi website...search on hpi also didn't turn up anything...

huh? battery box, servo tray and the side plates are copys in carbon/graphite with certain things like the shock towers removed. the only part that isnt a wheely king is the transmission which looks to be a direct drive unit with center diff.

IIRC, it used 80% of the factory wheely king parts. ill have to find the article.

here are some pics during its fastest MT run

I know...I tried looking...I hope the page is cached somewhere, so its retrievable...

I think the truck is pretty genius...looks like the center trans is a spur from a touring car...

Also, I dont think the axles need to be beefed up, since it only has to move foam sedan tires on pavement, and not big 2.2 truck tires...

I really am fascinated with it...

Anyone here win it? The auction ended...I was tempted, but once the price rose above 115, I decided not to...
