EZrun Brushless ESC & Brushed Motor

Hey everyone

Hope this isn't too silly of a question, but the short of it is, can the EZrun series of brushless esc work with a brushed motor?

I know the Castle Creations ones do, but i was wondering if all brushless esc's can be used with an appropriate brushed motor or just certain ones?

Reason being, i'd like a 35amp EZrun to use with a 35t brushed motor
Means i can then use 3s lipo no problem and have all the programable functionality.
I've got a nice 35t lathe motor and a comm lathe as well so all i need is a nice, cheap programmable esc and then i might just have the push i need to get an SCX10!

Edit:

Arghhh it seems they can't. I guess i'll just need to fork out for the second option if when my bonus arives. I'm hoping a sidewinder esc will work well with the castle link in a brushed motor scale crawler?

That is a good question man, I too am shopping for a good ESC for my crawler and want the programming options. I need to run dual motors though as mine is a MOA.

I will stay posted to the thread and if I find a good one too I will fill you in on it. I think the Rooster Crawler ESC's would work pretty good.

I'd choose the castle ESC's over the novak ''stuff''.

Castle has the BEST programmability and option variety not to mention is tough stuff. Novak, meh programming is the worst, and it's specs are not something you should ever push boundries with, if anything stay under or it lets out smoke signals.

So do you think a small Sidewinder will be capable of running my Boyer crawler?

That would be cool, I am running a external BEC anyway for my servos and having the LVC would be awesome on that. I can run a small cube LiPo and it will fit perfect on that chassis.
