Exceed RC?

A guy at work is looking at buying an Exceed RC Mad Torque. It doesn't look too bad for the price. ($167) Does anyone have any experience with it? Good? Bad? Are those axles decent, could you switch the spool for a diff?

I have researched them. I couldn't find any way to unlock the diffs. They have a thin spool with the gear made on it. I wish there was a way I like the looks of the axles.

looks great, i think. but if i could touch it, maybe better, just look. it's cool.

A friend of mine bought one of these, it crawles pretty good, the motors/drivetrain is a little noisy, but it goes go pretty well. He did end up breaking a "c" hub or carrier on a tumble though. I think for the money they are pretty decent, just not much support for them, you will have to order any replacment parts online.
