I just picked up this motor for one of my wheely king projects and was wondering what would be a good ESC to go with it? Trying to keep it on the somewhat budget build, possibly around the 50-65$ mark.

You should be able to run an SV2 or something similar...Duratrax has a rebadged sidewinder..the Element..I used it in my wheely pounders and it was great

I know the Elements were a CC but I didn't know anything about this one and I can't really find info on it at all. I saw a CC ESC on here that I might pick up, not sure.

you can also check out the hobbyking ezrun series esc, they have been great for me so far and work well with space restrictions if need be.

What version of the HobbyKing EZ-Run should I look at? I heard good things from them but never knew what amp'age I should look at getting.

just figure out your amp rating and buy one that fits into what you are going to run. i believe i used the 60A one here: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__11743__HobbyKing_Brushless_Car_ESC_60A_w_Reverse.html

i ran that on 3s in a wheely king with a 5700kv motor and it would blow the clod tires off the wheels VERY easily. i run that esc in my top speed stampede with a 5700kv cm36 motor on 3s and it did well over 70mph.

for less than 40 bucks you get a steal of an ESC.
