Custom anodizing? That's a pretty sweet color, nice looking truck. Oughta go like a bat outta hell. Body shots? I would hope with a ripper chassis comes an equally sexy body!

no body yet...
i work at a dodge dealer so i am gonna do a mopar magic body for a beater.
however i have an hpi grave robber that is gonna get the full treatment. might be awhile though on that one as i have a newborn so paint time has been cut down dramatically.

You gonna bring it out to the WMB at Bradenville in a couple of months? We're still holding the events there.

If you haven't run a Clod on 5700's and 2S before, be prepared for some serious power:tmb I run that very setup in several of my Clods and they are awesome fast!

What size shocks you got on ur ripper? They look shorter than tmaxx shocks
they are longs... i believe they are stampede fronts.
i didnt want a ton droop travel.

devastator i was out a few years back to compete in the trials event with my crawlers. i am planning on making an attempt to come out again. just depends on finances.

Yeah, I remember you being there some time ago. I hope it works out that you can make a return and give racing a try. I don't know if you got to watch the racing any but if you did, you'll remember it being a fun time. We race hard but we all have a lot of fun in the process. Hope ya can make it.

what is the hot setup for tires and wheels for racing?
do you guys run foams?
i know pullers or claws are popular...

Defiance Racing
Imex Pullers are pretty much what's used most. You'll see some Baja's but it's mostly Pullers. As far as foams, some run them some don't. If you have a soft compound tire, it might be best to run foams. If they're the harder compound, you can get by fine without foam.

just scored a ttr straight axle setup for this thing... :tmb

anyone have any experience with the integy heavy duty nylon gears?

Those integy gears are junk... I tried them out when they first came out, actually at bradenville and they didnt hold up through even one weekend. Not to mention the bevel gears in the diff must have been the wrong size because they were very loud and crunchy:ack

ok maybe they will go in the crawler till i can get some steel gears.
i have some laying around that i have never opened.

we all run the stock plastic gears and they hold up great. just have to be careful you dont continually land on power especially with those motors:laugh

Another thing to be careful of is when the truck bicycles or goes up on two wheels that you dont hold the throttle wide open as the diff will unload and when it comes back down all that power is going straight into the gears
