Do Proline Sand Paws Need Foams?

Um.. yeah, like the title says... Do proline sand paws need foam inserts?

I ordered Proline Firm White Foams because they were on the "Other Items of Interest" on Tower, so I have some if they're needed.

I didn't order sand paw fronts, I figured the stock fronts would work.

they are a firm enough rubber for most 1/10 scale riides.

Unless your running a VERY heavy rig your fine, they'll hold most bruisers up enough

I bought them mostly for my Rustler to run it on the beach, tho they might get some time on my Slash.

I got Masher 2k's to test on my Slash. I'm also going to test Proline Hammers on it, when I get it back in about a week.
The Masher's will probably get swapped around too.

Was it the M3 compound Masher 2000's?
My friend has them on his Wild Dagger. Excellent for off road traction...so so soft a compound that they offer really good grip.
Downsides is they balloon a lot at high RPM and also have a lot of sidewall flex at high speed cornering

I got the M2 compound. I figured they'd last longer.
I haven't opened the packaging yet, but from what I can tell they're still fairly soft.

Got the Sand Paws mounted on Proline Eight Shooter bead-locs without foams. I have foams, but they seemed firm enough to run without 'em.
Besides, if they needed foams you think they'd come with 'em like every other tire.
Haven't put them on a vehicle yet to see how they fit, maybe this weekend.

Wow, that truck was cruising.
It wasn't a ton of snow, but I'm sure any other tire would have spent most of the time spinning. The Sand Paws just tore it up.

The paws on that truck look smaller than the ones I have. Even the one's Savage03 had on his Slash (and is now eBay-ing), look smaller.
It might just be because I haven't put them on a vehicle yet.

The paddles are pretty stiff and so is the outer wall of the tire, but in the middle the seem a bit soft.
I put a little bit of pressure on them, about what I felt was the weight of my Rustler and they mushed slightly but held their shape pretty good.
Is ballooning going to be an issue running them on a brushless 2-3s lipo without foams or tape?
