do I need a Y cable to receiver to connect 2 sv2's?

do I need servo type of Y cable to run my 2 sv2's?

I have a 4 channle reciever and channel 3 is the port used to connect the esc to but for the clod I have two.

is that how and the correct way to connect two esc's to one RX?

That was the old method for doing it, but people are having big issues with the SV2's not working with a Y harness.

The only answer seems to be to mix them together with the 3rd channel on your radio as long as it has a mixing function.

that still doesn't make sense to me... but it is what it is I guess. I am still skeptical on this probably because I am deeply bitter that this setup didn't work for me and I hate spending $ like that. But that's just me;) Driver of the bitter bus! Hope it works for you- bah humbug :mad I hope you catch my humor in this!

maybe this is a good place to ask:

I have a spektrum dx3s and I can mix the aux channel but it seems only to mimic the steering channel. Am I doing something wrong or is this transmitter limited this way?

I dont buy it or understand why it doesnt work either. It kind of sucks that we found it works with the mixing feature because now they have no motivation to actually fix it for everyone else.

I have limited experience programming any kind of mixing on that radio but it wouldn't surprise me if it was limited in that department. They strip away some of the more useful features on the S models.

Is there a Master/Slave setting on your mixing screen on the 3s? I don't have one only a 3r here and that is how mine can be chosen.

Jerry

EDIT: I just punched up the instruction manual on the 3s, Says it only mixes on the steering channel because of rock crawlers and large scale trucks that use 2 steering servos UGH why not be able to mix the throttle channel as well?!!

Good to know if I ever go the SV2 route.

and how would I mix them on the 3rd channel?

wire the two into that or?

I am running the tactic ttx404 set 4 channel TX 6 channel RX

channel 1 AILERON

channel 2 ELEVATOR

channel 3 THROTTLE

channel 4 RUTTER

4 servo reversing switches

trims for channel 1 2 4

V-tail mixing

elevon mixing

or is ot possible to sync two 2.4ghz recievers to one TX?

mine dont have a aux port so I would I be able to use another channle like 4 or something?
Check your manual and see if you can mix channels on the radio. You will need a master and a slave. The master is your throttle and the slave will be the channel your second ESC plugs into to mimic the throttle.

Jerry

EDIT Just looked at your instruction manual and aside from using Throttle and Elevator (CH3 and 2) sticks at the same time; I don't know how you could do it on a non computer radio. If you had a spare Rx, i guess it wouldn't hurt to try. Just be sure you unplug a wire on each of the motors to prevent a run away.

well I am glad I asked.

I have a clod and a wheely king I am building and already have the one ttx404 set and I was going to buy the other and thought I better make sure it can do 2 esc's before I buy and now I am finding out I saved 80 bucks and a headache lol.

I will use the ttx404 in the wheely king and go for something different in the clod then.

can someone suggest what make and model RX/TX I should use for the clod in order to run the dual esc's and dual steering servo's correctly?

I am runnning dual cpe 220-oz servo's the castle bec pro 20 amp along with dual 4600kv's and the dual sv2's.

also for the steering servo's on both models do I need a Y harness to go from the reciever to the servo's or do I use the extra channel on the ttx404 on the wheely king?

also can whatever TX/RX that has this channel mixing handle the dual esc's and the two steering servo's?

as I said before I was into nitro's and all this new brushless stuff is all new to me where there was not too many wires before.

I Don't know all of what will work in this situatioin; But I know my Futaba 3PM (old synth system) and my Spektrum DX3r have the mixing capabilities to run the SV2's.

As for the servos; you will need a reversing y-harness. both your servos turn the same direction and will make the trucks crab walk with a regular y-harness.

Hope this helps

Are there any other TX/RX that can handle the SV2s? I might have to break down and get a spektrum DX3r...I want to get dual castle sidewinders but I know that has been a problem for most people with this setup...are the EZruns easier to setup with a y-harness? What other brushless system are out there that work with the clod?

I went with this Futaba SR-10 Dual Servo Reverser just before I read your post will this still be good or did I get the wrong one?

I was told the sv2's were the way to go for the money but if I need $300.00 in radio equiptment they aint so cheap of a method after all but I am on a hunt to see whats out there for these rx's with aux setting.

seen these on ebay for 80 shipped and they do have it but I need to see what tx they work with still.

this a cheap solution?

FHSS(Frequency hopping spread spectrum) Technology makes the 3PL more then interference and worry free- it's one of the most affordable options available to boats are cars.

options also include features you won't find anywhere else for the money.

feature's that include mixing for crawlers and 1/5 scale models as well as adjustable ABS braking.

it's ease of programming, 3 proportional channels, and a 4rth for special mixing, makes it a super system to start with and a great system to grow with.

10 channel memory
3-character model naming
simple push button programming
model reset
3 proportional channels
1 switched channel
4ws mixing for crawlers, brake mixing for 1/5 scale models
digital trims and servo reversing (4 channels)
EPA & dual rates (steering)
throttle fail safe
ABS braking with on/off & low/mid/high pulse rates
internal transmitter antenna
transmitter low battery alarm
high-res LCD
R2004GF 3-channel reciever

will this one work good in general and is it the same mix I am after for dual sv2's?

also with this setup would I still need the reveresed Y cable I got above and if so beings their all futaba they should work together fine correct?

here's the manual in pdf:
