DIY Custom crush cars/car stacks

Hi everybody. I had a question for all of you. I had an idea recently that I'd like to try to make my own realistic-ish and reusable crush cars and car stacks to crush with my 1/10 scale monster. For you guys that have made our own car stacks, how did you do it and what did you use to make them? I've seen some pictures of using actual bodies for crushing, but I'd like to see some other ideas as well that would make good car stacks, like soda cans, bottles, and that kinda thing. If you guys have some pics or videos of your crush cars and homemade car-like obstacles, please post them down below. I'd love to see all your guy's creativity and ideas you came up with. I figured this would be a good topic to bring up because I haven't come across a thread dedicated to it before, and it would be perfect for all the DIY-ers to use as a guide as well. I'm still relatively new to the site, so I'd love to see what you guys are using in competitions or at-home bashing.
So what are you guys crushing these days?!

Maybe those cheap foil baking pans you can get at the dollar store? They come in different sizes and could be painted different colors to look a little more like a line of old cars.

Ive had the idea for years to use soda cans, cut the top and bottom off, turn them inside out and glue, rivet, etc. them together. Then make a form out of wood or something and start hammering. Probably a better way to do it, but realistically I think that thickness of aluminum would work best. They sell rolls of aluminum and tin for doing flashing on houses and other stuff. Might be something to use as well.

I like that idea of using aluminum cans for cars. That is the first idea I thought of when trying to come up with ideas. I'm just wondering what would be a good setup to arrange the cans. I'm guessing the arrangement would be like some kinda pyramid-like shape, or I guess it can vary. I wish I could find some pics of people crushing soda can obstacles so I can see their setup of the cans. That way I can see some different arrangements and build styles.

Back in the day American Plastics made cars that were perfect as crush cars. There were Nascars, police cars, muscle cars. The stores sold them for about $5 each, so you could by alot for a little. Now if you e-bay them they usually run about $25 or more each.

I do remember someone on here (can't remember their name or topic post) had made cars out of cardboard. I think it was one of the Monsterblog guys. They were a great idea, but he never put a tutorial up on them.

Plus i've seen photos of cars that actually crush, don't know who made those, but I remember RCmonstermotorsports.com always showed pictures of them.

A pic of my setup. Aluminium beer cans stuck together and to a piece of plywood. It works well, but the cans started to tear holes in them. I'm going to remake it but fill the cans with expanda foam to make them a little stronger.

These things are sweet. But I highly doubt I can make something like this for myself, or pay to have some made for me, lol. I like the idea of using aluminum cans because it seems pretty cheap and disposable. If I had the money or skills, I'd definitely want these because they are [email protected]!

Absolutely lol. I can just image the wife/girlfriend coming into the garage seeing you chugging a bunch of beer and throwing the empties into a pile in the corner of the garage.
She asks, "What the heck are you doing?!"
You respond, "I'm makin' ramps! What does it look like?!" *glug, glug...

This thread made me get motivated to rebuild by can stack. This time I filled the new cans with 'foam fill'. Hopefully that will make them a little more durable. The silver cans are a little thicker than the other cans too, this may help wuth durability also.

That looks great! How are you holding the cans in place? Glue?
